[OFFICIAL] Xbox Live Latest Demos

So it appears that date of the 20th for TH might have been bogus? I guess they still have until 6 PM Pacific Time, but it is now 7 PM Eastern Time and nothing.

I just got home from work, this is the best news all night YESSSS I LOVE skating... I mean I skate in real life so im totally a fan of tony hawk and this one looks like a must get for me. This and Splinter Cell have been godsends for my 360. I can hardly wait for Gears of war though

Tony Hawk's Project 8 Demo is up according to lots of people at MajorNelson.com, at a size of 350MB.

Unfortunately it's not showing up for me yet.

It's there, but there is a problem with the Marketplace because it's not showing up as 'new'. You have to go to Games > Game Demos > Game Demos by Genre > Sports and you should be able to get to it.

I learnt that trick a long time ago with the Marketplace. When I said it wasn't showing, it really wasn't showing - anywhere. Like I said, it's now listed twice under the Sports section. Still no MK3 but I'm sure that will be sorted soon enough as well.

THP8 demo is small but good. I'm no skater but it certainly feels a lot more realistic than the previous games. The improved graphics help too, though there seems to be some bad slowdown in certain areas. The new nail the trick feature is fun. Definitely a worthwhile demo for just 350MB. :)

DAMNIT! thats the second time i missed the PSU beta. I tried downloading it at 10:00am this morning, the beta ended at 7:00am!

bah.. i guess i'll wait till tuesday. P.S. the licence is uploaded, and you can now purchase guardian licences for PSU, but it's $14.99 (CDN or US, i dont know)

I can't see the Tony Hawk Demo.. is it US Only? and the splinter cell demo sucked, i kept getting booted, i was never able to play a game

Tony Hawks Project 8 and MK3 Ultimate released to the marketplace! :)

Now on Marketplace for all Xbox Live members except those in Asia.

Edit: I am getting reports that some folks can't see this or the UMKIII arcade title. I have escalated to the operations center. Until then...no need to post that you don't see it. It's been a helluva week, huh?

Edit: Both MK and TH are starting to appear in Marketplace for folks...if you don't see it yet, give it time as the team is actively working on this...meaning it may appear/dissapear/re-appear. Both titles will be available as soon as they can address the issue. Again, thanks for your patience. I won't have a chance to check for an update for a few hours, but it should be fixed by then. By the way: Your abilty to see (or not see) the content has nothing to do with your geo-location.

I got bored of of Tony Hawk along time ago but thought i would try the demo (seeing as it was a complete re-build from the ground up), but i have to say I LOVE IT!

The new "Nail-a-Trick mode is great, the graphics are MUCH improved, there is some nice ragdolling (Is that a real word?) in there and bails have hospital bill on them! Nice :D

Ah, I wasn't gonna even bother with it as I felt the same way with other TH titles. But after reading that, I'll definitely give it a try now, thanks! (Y)

Can anyone explain how to actually land Nail A Trick? I keep trying it and trying it, but my board just spins out of control no matter what I do. I am sure it is something simple I am missing, but I need to know.

There's a little tutorial in the game. It's pretty easy though, you just hold down a direction on either of the analog sticks and then let it go when the board is facing back up.

I missed the tutorial... or perhaps skipped it I was so anxious.

Okay that is what my problem is, I have just been pressing the direction instead of holding it and releasing.

The demo just timed out for me, so I will try it in a few. Thanks. (Y)

Go speak to Rodney Mullen, he's doing some street tricks in the mid section. He's the one that glows orange when in middle distance.

    • Exactly. They won't go 100 because current gen consoles are simply too old for any groundbreaking graphics or gaming experience otherwise. They will go with standard (console) price 70 or go with 80 if they really want to go premium. Of course they will have more expensive options too with some useless cosmetics as always.
    • Doesn’t surprise me at all. God is light & He gave us life so it sounds almost logical that we would therefore emit a certain amount of light.
    • This is what I want. Hey Gemini, how do I remove you from all my google products permanently?
    • I would never install install this build before rtm process. only 3 months to go. never install on your daily devices. just wait 3 months.
