Apparently, you only get the time limit on the Crackdown demo once you have levelled up something twice. If you don't level up you don't get a timer. I can't verify that though as i'm still waiting for the thing to download.

Definitely picking up Crackdown.

It seems like it will be a great time killer, and I am already hooked on jumping from Rooftop to Rooftop.

Most of the time I spent I was collecting Agility Orbs, did two of the missions as well, and I had more than enough fun.

Probably will go preorder it sometime this week.

I'm not too sure about Crackdown to be honest. I've never been a great fan of sandbox games and I always get pretty bored of them in the end. I want to like Crackdown though so I can justify the price and Halo 3 beta :p I have it on preorder for now and decide once I play some more.

There is no doubt the game looks fantastic though and I can see the appeal it has, it just doesn't hold my attention very long :/

I liked the demo, except the time limit thing. They could have just limitted how much you could increase your strength. I didnt even try any of the missions, i just had fun jumping on stuff. I got 50 or so of those agility things, i could have gotten more but i didnt realize what they did until i got the 30 minute warning. I was able to jump 25ft and throw 1,000lb or something like that.

hmm i really like battlestations midway, but im getting stupid lag whenever i play the demo, i dont know if its cause its a demo, a crap host or a problem at my end,

im on 2mb, have my 360 connected to my pc and connection is bridged, then my computer wirelessly connected to router, the lag is stupid, like not 5 seconds, it seems like minutes! ill be there in my battleship and i always test to see if there is lag, by using the AA guns in the water, once i did it, and nothing happened for 5 minutes...

i just cant seem to have any more fun with this demo!!!

Ok,

I had a quick play with the demo. So far first impression is it looks similar to GRAW, but then you start to notice the tweaks and enhancements.

For example the Droid to scan areas, is now manually controlled when you scan, and you see an top down view of the map, and you move the droid around to scan what you want to see etc. Pretty cool.

All in all it looks very polished, and i like it so far.

i wish it was a MP demo but when is the release date?

Does anyone know if they will be using the Engine from the single player into the MP yet? the one thing i really didnt like was how SP was differnt than MP engine wise and you couldnt do all the same things

    • Weekend PC Game Deals: Cyberpunk 2077, Split Fiction, Sonic Racing, and more by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place every week for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets. The Epic Games store brought along two games from wildly different genres this week for PC gamers to claim. Robobeat is a rhythm-based action game that lets you become a bounty hunter that can wall run, slide, and bunny hop around his opponents. All you have to do is stick to the beat for the built-in or custom songs. Next, Citizen Sleeper is a sci-fi RPG adventure taking place in a ruined space station. It uses tabletop RPG-inspired elements like dice rolls and timers to change up how players approach its activities, factions, and storylines. The Citizen Sleeper and Robobeat giveaways end on June 25. On the same day, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 and Voidwrought will become the next freebies. The bundle space expanded with two more collections from Humble this week too. The June 2unes bundle is up first, carrying plenty of rhythm games. This carries Kill the Music and Rhythm Witch in the $5 starting tier, followed by Trombone Champ, Spin Rhythm XD, and Thumper in the $7 tier. Paying at least $12 gets you the complete bundle, which adds on Kalpa: Cosmic Symphony, Everhood 2, NOISZ, and Sixtar Gate: StarTrail. The next bundle is for virtual reality fans. This carries Among Us 3D: VR and Zero Caliber VR for $10. The next tier brings in Tactical Assault VR, Ancient Dungeon, and Arizona Sunshine Remake for $15. VTOL VR, Zero Caliber 2 Remastered, Metro Awakening, and Thief VR land to finish things off for $18. Free Events It's a big week for free event fans, as Valve kicked off another one of its Next Fest events. This one carries thousands of gameplay slices from upcoming indie games The promotion is set to run until June 22. Standard free events are also ongoing this weekend. This includes the sci-fi grand strategy experience Stellaris from Paradox and the hit SEGA management game Two Point Museum. Asymmetric multiplayer horror title Dead by Daylight and the hit mech shooter MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries are also free-to-play over the weekend.
