Four-time winner of the Lakeside World Championship Raymond van Barneveld has opted to join the Professional Darts Corporation.The news comes just weeks after the Dutchman insisted he had no plans to join the rival governing body, and will be seen as a huge blow to the BDO. Speculation had been rife for months that the former postman would become the latest star to 'defect' and on Wednesday it was revealed the Dutchman will complete the seven-man line-up for this year's Holsten Premier League. Barney's name is added to those of Phil Taylor, Colin Lloyd, Ronnie Baxter, Wayne Mardle, Roland Scholten and Peter Manley contesting the ?167,500 prize fund of the Premier League, which begins in Blackburn on Thursday.
