I am just looking for simple backup software that will allow me to automate the process of backing up files that have 'changed' (ie, differential/incremental backups). If there's a free utility that does this, it woudl be great. I am NOT looking to compress anything... I want it stored exactly as I've got it now, so I can take the USB hard drive and run around with it :)
As always, do not confuse market cap with actual corporate finances or size. Apple is FAR from being the third biggest company in the world by any actual corporate measure.
Market cap is a measure of investor confidence and the whole AMC/Game Stop fiasco should have taught everyone that it's not a real measure of anything but investor gullibility.
Here's the thing, which of the thousands of PC laptops made by dozens of OEMs are you talking about when you compare ALL of them to the one MacBook? See, that's a standard Apple fan tactic, find the worst in PCs, declare ALL PCs to be that and the strawman argue against that.
Windows is "bloated" because because it has things you personally don't want. Yet macOS comes with all sorts of stuff I certainly don't want (like Safari), so to me macOS is also bloated.
Antimalware isn't "bloat" and yes, even macOS and *gasp* Linux has malware, so that's just ignorance to suggest those aren't a good thing to have. And macOS also has its equivalent of Windows Update, just in a different place. Office CTR - Garageband, Pages, Mail, etc.
And if you really don't think Apple does telemetry, well, there's a bridge in Brooklyn you'll enjoy owning, I'm sure.

Hey folks,
