Brad Gushue Gold for Canada/Curling

Recommended Posts

With a lead of 10 to 3 in the 7th end, in the Gold Medal Mens game at the Torino 2006 Olympics, it seems that the Brad Gushue team from Newfoundland, Canada is going to take the gold. Scoring 6 in the 6th end, they almost definitely secured Newfoundlands 1st ever gold medal. This is a big deal for us in Newfoundland, we got half a day off school to watch this game.

THe game is still in play, but there is little chance that Finland can take it back at this point.

Mark Nichols, one of the men on the team, actually had an accuracy score of 98%.

And this is official now, final score 10-4, after the 8th end

Ya. Gushue was laughing about that the second after he missed it. Everyone here in Newfoundland is making fun of him for it.
