Canada has taken gold and bronze in the Olympic women's 5,000 metre speed skating event.

Clara Hughes fatigued in the middle of the 12-and-a-half lap race, but powered from behind to catch Claudia Epstein and surpass teammate Cindy Klassen for the fastest time.

hah i thought he was talking about the same thing too. apparently it was like 120 km/h winds in St. Johns. thats nuts.

Here in Vancouver, it's snowing. Here, that's an emergency.

I know the hockey gold will be awarded tomorrow, but is there much activity other than that? Isn't it the closing ceremonies tomorrow?

Hockey and I think a 50 km ski final of something... Then closing ceremonies. I hope that this isn't as good as Canada can get, 2010 hopefully will be ownage. We had 13 4th position finals, that sucks lol

Cindy Klassen owned for Canada :D
