Is there any official information from Microsoft what Vista Build 5308.60 Desktop install has fixed?

I know that this is confusing, so I wanted to post something to try and clear things up.

The only changes in the build "5308.60" are for server. For client it is exactly the same as "5308.17".

It has zero effect on client, but won't hurt anything if you use those ISO images to install client.

So unless you are testing server, you can just save your bandwidth.
