Nope, it has been added the right way in the firewall.

The weather desklet from AveScripter works perfectly I discoverd that a few days ago so I guess I need to reconfigure the desklet

I've been using AveDesk for a few months now. It's kind of a coincidence this topic was made, I just started to mess around with it last night, I want to reconfigure my desktop again. I have a few basic questions.

I would like to know how to configure a digital clock like this person has. My AveDesk digital clock desklet is pretty limited by options. i mean to get the small secinds and AM or PM next to the clock, not like how mine is.

His Clock

My current Clock

Also, is there any way to produce reflections in AveDesk like this

Or maybe I could try it in Photoshop?

TUTORIAL: The Automount Module:

One of the most useful and unique features of Avedesk is its auto-mount feature. For those who are not familiar with nix OS, it automatically puts a icon on your desktop once you plug in your USB disk, memory stick and other storage devices.

The way this works in Avedesk is, you just have to select the automount module to be installed from, ?extras? menu in the Avedesk control panel. Once the module is activated, if you plug in your device a PIDL shortcut with default settings will automatically appear on the desktop. Customise this shortcut to your test as usual and enjoy the geekish sweetness of your hi-tech desktop!

Please let me know if this tut was of any help..

Ummm...where? Can you go into more details about the module and where you get it.

EDIT: NM...found it: http://avedesk.philc.ca/modules/PDdownload...php?cid=3&lid=2

[Tip] Taskbar Shadow

Add a PidlShortcut. Use the shadow (attached) as the image and set the dimensions to the width of your screen resolution and the height of that image (19 pixels).

Then move it under your taskbar to where it looks like a shadow and just make it always on bottom and have it "click thru" it.

Whoa, that is a pretty awesome tip. Thanks. :)

Strange that the internet things in Avedesk dont work on my PC only the one's that are available for avescripter :s

Because I really want to use Tiny Weather by acedriver.

And I cant get this thing to work, it's a systemmonitor + networkmonitor by GhostLin

That`s great thanks alot

ok, i realise i am about to sound like a right n00b, but every time i have tryed to get Avedesk to work, just for simply changing the icons, it fails to work, happened for 11.1, 1.3 and now 2 beta :(

anyone know of a nice guide for installing it efficiently (in vista) and how to get simple icon replacement up and running before i start messing round :)

    • Cooler Master MasterFrame 600 PC case is now 33% off on Amazon by Ivan Jenic The Cooler Master MasterFrame 600 is currently $109.99 on Amazon, down from its original $164.99 list price. That's 33% off and $55 saved on this premium aluminum mid-tower case with a modular design. If you're upgrading your PC case and want something that doesn't force you into a rigid layout, the MasterFrame 600 is worth a look. The case is built around the Cooler Master's FreeForm 2.0 platform, which lets you reconfigure the internal structure according to your hardware. Magnetic side panels allow for straightforward adjustments, and the case supports everything from Mini-ITX to E-ATX motherboards without compromise. There's also generous cooling headroom. Four pre-installed PWM fans handle airflow out of the box. GPU clearance goes up to 410mm, and the case supports radiators up to 420mm with room for three simultaneously. Truth be told, this might not be the prettiest case on the market, but it’s highly functional. The aluminum construction keeps the whole thing lightweight despite its size, and the finish looks noticeably better than the plastic mid-towers competing at this price point. If you want a serious, flexible case that prioritizes function over flashy aesthetics like RGB lighting, the MasterFrame 600 delivers at a reasonable price.
