Dotdot
Ok so about September last year I bought a PSP. It was a Jap 1.0 and am loving my little machine. However recently the headphone jack has become damaged, not to the point its hanging out or anything but... When I insert headphones I get either no sound or it plays thru one headphone only. The external speakers wont play sound either. My question is how can I get this fixed? If I send it to sony I dont mind paying for it to be fixed, but am worried that they wont touch a JAP model if i send to Sony in the UK. Anyone have experience of this or can make a suggestion as to how to fix it?
ReAnimation
Phone the playstation support line (08705 99 88 77 - this is the UK number) and explain your situation. I think that they will offer to repair the unit, but as you say they will charge you for the repair cost since its not a UK 1003K model.
The Teej
Only problem is they might upgrade your Firmware for you. While 2.6 is going places it's no Firmware 1.0, that's for sure.
