GEt the better tech support.

Also the xps tech support is 20 times better then the regular tech support. I feel that some people bash companies without actually using them .

All the tech support that I use at my company is either gold or for our 5 xps systems(teen room in the library) . When I need a part Like a video card i get no hassle. They overnight it to me and I ship it back in the same box.

Dellware, Hewlett-Compaqard, None of these buy outs really make a difference to me, I'll continue to build my own PC's with the parts that I want and not have to worry about proprietary power supplies, etc. Although I am a bit of a fan of the Alienware chasis.

I'm with Phoyoco here. While dell does offer some decent prices, from what I've seen they're fairly rubbish computers. Propietary designs and such, hell with that. Or the cliche tale of wanting to add another HDD or optical drive to a dell and not havign a big enough power supply to do so. Fun fun. Then you get into hassles of finding a PSU that will even fit in your dell case.

It's more trouble than its worth. Alienwares are so laughably overpriced that the only way I'd ever own one is if someone gave it to me free of charge. I have better ways to waste my money, such as buying drugs. :)

I used to like the Alienware cases until I took a look at Falcon, now everything else pales in comparison. Still it will be interesting to see what Dell does with the brand.

Someone please close this. We have 2 threads on this already and it is now disproven. I have a new thread on Dell dismissing the rumor which was started by Alienware's competitor, VoodooPC.
