rustyzippo
I have a KPA-8 scosche Amp wiring kit that says up to 550 watts max (275 watts RMS) on the front of the package. It's 8 gauge. Well I already set it up and recently bought a new amp (pioneer GM-7150M) that is 800 watts. It only pushes 250 Watts RMS at 4 ohms though, which is under the maximum for this kit, right??? I was wondering if I am going to have to buy another kit, or if this one will still work ok with my 800W amp. What's the worst that could happen? The inline fuse blowing? Oh, and im hooking the amp to one 12" Sony sub (1500W max). Thanks. edit: I've found other 17 ft 8 gauge kits that claim to be for up to 1500 Watts, like this one: http://www.hivolume.com/en/select.php?aftermarket_part=7570 Edited March 17, 2006 by rustyzippo
