Hmmm....perharps i.ve to wait a lil bit longer for the torrent

Well I AM uploading, and as soon as it's finished downloading from devster's mirror, I'll have a 10mbit seed hooked up too :)

I installed the Feb Beta the other day so does that mean I need to download the Dec Full and the March Update for this to work??

Oh and Thank you guys :D

There is no update for the beta, yet.

Also, I'm pulling the zipfile. Uploading the file to another seed would take too long and render my net connection unusable... and because of the nature of compression, people wouldn'thave just been able to seed it straight off.

Tiny nit on applying updates:

NOTE: I have 4 partitions: Windows 98 on the C partition and Windows XP on the F partition. I did the following while running Windows XP on the F partition.

(1) I installed full December XP 2006 into default directory F:\Program Files\Autopatcher.

(2) I installed February XP 2006 into default directory F:\Program Files\Autopatcher.

(3) I installed March XP 2006 and it failed giving me an error. It tried to install into C:\Program Files\Autopatcher which did not exist. Except, both Dec full and Feb update were able to discover that my Windows XP is working on the F partition and it should have defaulted to F.

December full and February update both found the F partition as the correct default, but the March update did not. Its easy to get around but should not have happened. A small nit!

Thanks for another gr8 update!

Hope there will be a full version soon, its been a few months since a full final has been out ;)

as I found out for myself this afterrnoon, transferring 250 meg files all over the place can be a pain in the arse.

After that experiance, I can see why Blaze and the rest of the team want to keep the update releases pumping out.

@cbosdell

i move tweaks into sub folders, the update installer should delete the tweaks directory before unpacking the tweaks into there new locations. perhaps for some reason the deletetion didnt occur, which is a problem because deletetion rules are common in update releases to remove redundant files after a replacement, rename, or redundancy.

if this is the case you will have a large number of tweaks in c:\program files\autopatcher\modules\tweaks, as well as in the new subfolders.

please report back to me whether this is the case.

thanks. I deleted all of the folders and files that were old and it works again :)

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

Hey I just downloaded AutoPatcher_XP_Mar06_ENU_Update.exe

When I start is there're 2 options and I can't install without previous AP installed...

apmarch9ox.jpg

I'm confused.

I want to make a march full using december full + jan,feb,march updates.

How do I do that?

@Angelico_Payne

the new page:

installing bits of modules not included originally in a lite release, onto a lite release, are shown in the page - ap crashing, mods that dont work or partially work, and wasted space. this new page is the solution to that problem, if such files are included in an update release, we can use this new page which allows alternative installation instructions to be run which skip extraction of those files. this will reduce the number of errors people see when using lite releases with update releases.

the warning:

the second thing you noticed - you get a warning when installing an update release to a folder where autopatcher.exe doesnt exist. this is because update releases are not designed to be used standalone, and this will hopefully help reduce the confusion for new users.

i dont recommend you use them as such, however, if you really want to, go ahead. note, youll need to download and install the ap standalone from the standalone modules thread first to get all the ap program files (not all included) and install over that.

theres a similar warning installing a full/lite release over a folder containing autopatcher.exe.

    • FWIW, I've been using Helium on Linux and Windows since the first time it was mentioned here. Actually, maybe a day or 3 before, as I searched for it when I saw it mentioned on the MX Linux forums. Haven't had a single issue on either OS. Not bad for a beta.
    • See up until a few years ago y'all could get away with simply denying your war crimes, pretending it never happened. Unfortunately for you, it's the 2020s and Israel's genocide has been livestreamed in real time. You have to be dumber than a rock to think anyone still believes your propaganda. See the cat is already out of the bag. The world already knows who you are so do yourself a favor and just drop the facade. Bet it gets real tiring keep track of all the lies. Take some inspiration from Israeli ministers who boast on live TV they like massacring civilians. Every zionist accusation is after all a confession.
    • He's just reporting what Microsoft posted. https://msmessagecenter.com/MC1381119 It just means that Windows Defender updates will no longer be bundled into the monthly Cumulative Windows security update and will now be a separate download. They'll still be on Microsoft update of course but now they can be released faster.
    • Apple announces iOS 27 with no changes to the list of supported iPhones by Taras Buria At WWDC 2026 in Cupertino, Apple announced iOS 27, the next mobile operating system for compatible iPhones. The update focuses on tweaking and improving last year's iOS 26, particularly in areas like app launch time, Liquid Glass design, and more. Additionally, Apple has reworked Apple Maps with a significantly enhanced Flyover view for a much more realistic view. Apple also promises better performance, smarter search, new Health features, new parental controls, and more. The most important part is that iOS 27 is compatible with all iPhones that can run iOS 26. That means that even the seven-year-old iPhone 11 can run iOS 27 (supposedly better than iOS 26). iOS 27 will be available this Fall, with the first developer betas expected later today.
