cyberfox2004 Posted March 25, 2006 Share Posted March 25, 2006 (edited) if proper stratup doesnot help then I guess you need reformat your drive c. it happend to my pc once when winxp was just released . always backup helped me very much, and I advice always backup once you have clean and fresh installed windows to avoide the activation and time of the installation. amERICa Posted March 25, 2006 Share Posted March 25, 2006 I have two possible ideas, install the TweakUI powertoy and use its rebuild functions. It may or may not help, I forget what all it can rebuild. Second, run sfc /scannow from a command line to fix any errors it finds. System restore is a third possibility.
