Q: Does AutoPatcher work with 64bit or XP-MCE systems?

A: The current Windows XP and Server 2003 releases are 32bit only. We do plan to make 64bit releases in the near future though.

XP-MCE edition is basically just XP-Pro with extra media capabilities. The 32bit XP release will work fine, however you will also require extra MCE specific updates. We do plan on making an MCE addition pack in the future.

Hi,

I did post details some time ago on how to detect MCE and which versions were installed from various registry entries.

I hope this can be applied either to a point release of APXP 5 or included with APXP 6 so the MCE updates can be included along with all the others and selected/installed as required.

Kind Regards

Simon

i still havent done much testing into ap v6 myself, but i expect raptor may well have included detection for it. if he has then we will most likely start to make modules for them too. whether they are included in the min release or as a seperate pack that can be added to the main release will depend on the total size of the modules.
