The fact of the matter is that there is limited capacity for expansion, yet revenues still need to be generated in order for any football club to remain competitive. In order to generate revenue two things are needed....1: Sucess on the pitch (ask leeds about this one) and 2: A stadium that will hold enough paying fans. Liverpool have consistently had success at many levels however they are being held back by the lack of a large stadium. The ground is surrounded on all four sides by housing and therefore alternatives need to be looked at. Anfield is the best stadium in the world for atmosphere (especially since the demolition of the Old Wembley) and nowhere can it be matched...for proof ask Chelsea or Juventus!!
