WoW guild bombs e-funeral

Recommended Posts

While amazingly funny (the parts where it shows them running to the location of the funeral and then switching back to the funeral - was brilliant, period.) it is a bit mean to trash a funeral..

Agreed. Parts of that video where very funny.

It is a game, so what they did is fine with me. Both the funeral, and the other guys trashing it.

The idea of holding an "e-Funeral" in an online MMORPG game may seem ludicrous, but not everyone can make it to the real funeral. I would pay my last respects for the loss of a human life even if I didn't know them in real life. If I was in the funeral holder's guild, and I exchanged thoughts and opinions with the now deceist, I would at least have the decency to say good things about him. What the Serenity guild was utterly stupid and down right evil. I can't believe they had the urge to do that. My goodness, a life has been lost. Those emotionless and cold hearted individuals should suffer a very unfortunate accident, but then again who am I to judge their fate. Hopefully, and I mean hopefully, something bad might happen to them for what they did. The Serenity guild disgusts me.

The idiots could have held the funeral in Stormwind or something.

I agree. Just because someone loves a place so much ( i dunno why he would like a stretch of digital shoreline) doesnt mean the funeral could be held there. Imagine everyone holding funerals at the last location of death. It would be chaos. Holding it somewhere more safe wouldnt have been that hard. I dont know the horde equivalent of stormwind but im sure they have a safe house.

I LOL after seeing this video... e-funeral, what's next? e-birthday party? e-barmithsbah (or whatever its called)?

It's a game! and the game is about killing your opponnent so if they want to really ROLE-PLAY they should know that there is the possiblity that their enemies will take any chance to kill them... even in a "funeral".

The music selection was great :p

wow....that is the most amazing ######-ish thing i have ever seen done in my entire 17 years i've been a human being. I mean, if i were God, i would instantly smite all the alliance who did that and damn them to hell. I don't even know what to say to that, its just wrong, i mean did they think it would be funny?! because the e-funeral was a nice idea since he must've been a good guild member and some people probobly couldn't go to his real funeral so they help an e-funeral. Wow, i feel really sorry for the people that got killed in that retarded show of ass-ness

That is why you care. I find it hilarious, only because something like an online funeral is pathetic beyond words. Seperate reality from fantasy people, if you want to show respect for the dead, do it with some honor and tradition, not in a friggin' video game.

Am I the only one that thinks of this as like an online verion of the Tet Offensive in Vietnam. Personally I think it's a bit cold but then again it's also a bit dumb to place it in such an open space, I don't even play WoW XD.

And whoever mentioned Mafia style lookouts is a Don I was thinking the same thing XD, 'EVERYONE TO THE WEST GATE!!!!.

I think the funeral was a nice idea. Not all people are able to travel hundreds of miles for a funeral. It shows honour and respect to the guild member.

Now I should say that it's a pitty that it was ruined, but if that didn't happen, it wouldn't have made one of the greatest WoW movies I've ever seen :p And the music selection is simply great!

I do feel srry for those of who it was ruined though :(

Thinking about it again.

Yes, it's a game guys. You can't hold a funeral in game where people are randomly running around killing eachother.

Games are for having fun, and the guys who trashed the funeral obviously had a HELL of a fun time doing that.

Some people takes games too seriously.

The story was sad. But the video was funny. I dont want to be rude but if you are going to set an e-funeral in a PvP server on Contested land and announce it on the World of Warcraft forums, prepare to get attacked. I bet other guilds were going to attack too.
