But as for the question itself, even Rollins said he realized it wasn't the same accomplishment. One is a single season record and one would not be. I dont think there are two different records for this. I have never heard it called a 56 game single season hitting streak! Only a 56 consecutive game streak. I have argued this topic with many people over the past few weeks. I know that Rollins is done but if and when this record is broken (NEVER!) if it happens over two seperate seasons how can anyone say it isnt legit?
