Well there's osCommerce which is free but you will have to pay quite a bit to get a decent template or pay someone to make one for you because its a challange to implement your own.

Another alternative would be my system which is currently in its 2nd BETA phase. It's called the SHOP-Trix and although it is still in development I've had lots of positive feedback on how easy it is to use and customise. It comes paypal intergrated and the basic version will cost you ?30 with your choice of Paypal connection.

Cubecart is a very versistile and easy to use system working on a php / mysql enviroment. It supports a large amount of payment processors including paypal and world pay. Cubecart, unlike many other systems such as oscommerce, is very easy to skin and change its design. Although templates are hard to find creating them is easy. Support for this software in their community is both friendly and helpful.

Hope that Helps

The only thing I would say about that is why does it look alot like oscommerce? 3 areas 100% accross the screen, they havn't even made the demo site look nice and shiny they use very similar looking templates on all 3

Im sure its a good system but why don't they put more effort into the appearance and layout and show how different it can look?

BTW sorry demo site is:
