SEGA PUTS GAMERS IN FRONT OF THE EIGHT-BALL IN WORLD POOL CHAMPIONSHIP 2007 AND WORLD POOL CHALLENGE 2007

Take Turns at Becoming a Pool Champion at E3

SAN FRANCISCO (April 27, 2006) - SEGA of America, Inc. today announced World Pool Championship 2007 and World Pool Challenge 2007. Published by SEGA and developed by renowned U.K. studio Blade Interactive, World Pool Championship 2007 will be available on the PlayStation?2 computer entertainment system and World Pool Challenge 2007 will be available on the PSP? portable entertainment system. Chalk up a cue stick and rack up a round of either eight-ball or nine-ball against an array of the world's best pool players this Fall.

"Pool is a classic game that a wide variety of audiences can identify with," said Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President of Marketing, SEGA of America, Inc. "With a host of exciting new modes and features, both World Pool Championship 2007 and World Pool Challenge 2007 will provide new avenues for virtual hustlers to rack 'em up."

In World Pool Championship 2007 and World Pool Challenge 2007, gamers can create their own pool player or play as one of the world's top pros in over 10 officially licensed pool tournaments including the Mosconi Cup, World Cup, and U.S. Open. Players will test their versatility in Golden Cue Mode by challenging other pro players to games of eight-ball, nine-ball, and other cuesports within the same tournament. Pool sharks will be able to showcase their favorite crowd-pleasing skills in the World Trickshot Championship from a vast selection of trickshots.

The Playsyde shots look a little better, but it still looks bad. I'm glad Sega announced a new Sega Rally recently or I would've lost all hope in the company...

Seriously, the Xbox Live Arcade game Bankshot Billiards looks better (minus the characters, of course).
