Mexico's performance so far in this game is laughable

They are ranked what, 4th?

oh but wait. What was the name of the team who couldnt score a goal against angola for 89 minutes?

Altho I agree that we are losing many balls in the mid-field. We started strong but went a little too incoherent later.

I am here hoping for a strong second half.

What?

If you are referring to Portugal, we scored a goal in the first 5 minutes

yeah, compared to the announced "destruction"

Lets be honest please. The only good player in that field was Figo. The rest of the team got pretty much controled. Angola played just as well if not better against Portugal.

But hey, you are never going to take points since its your favorite team. At least I am accepting that we are lacking in certain areas.

Just because its my country doesn't mean I won't criticize them. Sure, Portugal had a chance to score three goals in the first 5 minutes and only scored one. Afterwards, they just relaxed and didn't show much.

By the way, the best player was Ricardo Carvalho and Simao, by far. Carvalho made some critical tackles during the game that were pivotal and Simao controlled the wings. Figo didn't do much other than give Pauleta that ball for the goal.

Damn that second half was wild. Angola got a tie because their goalkeeper because the rest of the team did nothing. Well, a point is a point

what the hell was the red card for, handball?

The hand was intentional and he had a previous yellow card

Whew! Just what I was hoping for. Best case scenario: Portugal beats Mexico and Angola beats Iran = Mexico out

Angola needs a three goal difference to advance over mexico.

Indeed. And to tell you the truth, I don't think Portugal will win this one. Story has told that Mexico plays better against bigger teams.

Like history matters in the World Cup

Angola needs a three goal difference to advance over mexico.

Of course...for now. If Portugal beats Mexico, lets say, 2-0, then Angola only needs 2 goals.

fifa world rankings are sure useless, mexico 4th Vs angola 57th.

Good ol' FIFA rankings

Well, no one said we couldn't have a very bad day.

Of course, we can just guess all we want before a match. ;)

I find it pretty sad that Figo had to come out of retirement to help score the only goal for Portugal. Pauletta shot it in, but Figo created the situation. It's too bad that Pauletta played like a hog after, I remember how many shots he took when a pass was obviously the smarter choice.

I agree 100% with this. The world rankings are completely ridiculous.

    • I can answer about the Linux bit. I only used AMD GPUs. I currently have a 9060XT (8GB) that fits my needs, I'm not a gamer, so I don't need that much GDDR. But lately, NVIDIA has grown a lot in the recent years. Oh, the horrors of NVIDIA drivers not working. But they have been getting better. I know a lot of members onm here that are running cachyOS and other distros, and are fine with a 4090/5090 variants. Really, though, I would stick with AMD variants.
