All my favorite teams (Except England) are doing a horrible job. This is the complete opposite of K/J 2002. For shame.

England game was boring and they won because a terrible defense error.

I agree, sanctified. I am curious to see how England performs against a more physical and faster team in Trinidad & Tobago.

Regarding the Ecuador game, it was a pretty decent game, to say the least. Ecuador dominated most of the game and never allowed Costa Rica to produce any dangerous plays, apart from that shot that hit the post towards the end.

Ecuador is looking very good as a squad; looking forward to seeing them play Germany for first place.

I dont feel sorry for Polen one bit. After that guy got red card it was insane..attack after attack! And germans just coudnt score. Double bar thing was insane...and then goal few mins later. such a nice feeling after 90 minutes of torture.

i am gladgermany fixed defence a bit. and i wish ballack would be doing more. anyway great game :D

Red/Yellow cards are normal in games. Sometimes people can't controll their actions. But yeah the double bar was pretty crazy. There was a lot of luck on the Polish team.

Speaking of yellow cards, Theobald just got a yellow on trinnidad.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES

CMON LETS CRY TOGETHER, GERMANS!!!!

THAT MATC`H SHOULD BE RATED "M" :p

and no1 older than 80 should watch it... -> heart failure :p

i know im german, but germany DESERVED it!

11 CLOSE GOAL SHOTS, the 12th was successful... poland did no goal shots...

-fm

11 close goal shots and 12 was successful?

you multiply the number by..3?

Poland had no goal shots?

did you go to the bathroom for most of the game or something?

well you must have not watched the whole game.

Poland did a great job defending a world class team like Germany. Germany should be ashamed they had so much trouble agains poland.

The BIG mistake Janas did was put Dudek in for the last couple of minutes. He relies on the amatures to much.

We've done well with regards to not sitting back and making sure we push forward. I had a rant about sitting back yesterday so I wont again... but you will have noticed that T&T's almost goal came from us not moving up after the corner was cleared.

I dont think Crouch realised how much time he had. He could of controlled the ball and simply tapped it into the net. John Terry did brilliantly to stop that certain goal, which only goes to show that he is one of the most solid and consistent defenders in the world.

T&T wont create many chances, but they are very dangerous from free kicks and corners. They are also playing very tightly, so we cant really break them down that much at the moment. Although we do seem to be getting plenty of space on the flanks.

My feeling is when we break T&T down and get a goal, then we will be more likely to add a few more as T&T will have to push forward more.

Good performance though from T&T so far, they are really surprising people at this World Cup (Y)

I say yeah put rooney in for crouch.

Crouch is good but the way he is getting used in the matches are just usless, Hiting balls up to him for him to knock it down. It's not working, the defence can easly see it.

T&T are doing pretty well, i wish they go through!!!

nope ^^ i said 12th not 12 :p

the defense didnt suck, thats right, but to be honest there werent any goal critical shots by poland, and only such shots are counted as goal shots.

and no, germany shouldnt be ashamed, because - i dont know whether u watched the game - there were some goal shots that were very close.

try to find a sentence in which a goal shot is mentioned by poland, if thered been one, it would definately be listed:

World Cup - Neuville Nicks It For Germany

75World-Cup-Logo.gifFIFA World Cup Germany 2006

Wednesday, 14 June

Midfield general Michael Ballack returned to the German side for the mannschaft's crunch Group A match against Poland at Dortmund on Wednsday night

Werder Bremen's Tim Borowski was relegated to the bench.

In a fast moving game with both sides committed to all-out attack, Germany had the better of the early exchanges.

In the first half, Miroslav Klose and Lukas Podolski both had clear-cut chances to score but Klose headed past the post from only five yards out - and just before the interval Podolski squandered a golden chance when, with Poland goalkeeper Artur Boruc beaten, he drove his shot wide of the upright.

An entertaining first half with Germany in control ended - almost unbelievably - goalless.

The second half started where the first half left off.

But as the game progressed, Germany's midfield didn't seem quite so assured as they had in the first half.

Crisp, short passing movements were replaced with long balls punted upfield to their forwards and with Germany's loss of precision, Poland gradually crept back into the game.

In the 64th minute, in an attempt to break the deadlock, German coach Jurgen Klinsmann brought on attacking midfielder David Odonkor in place of defender Arne Freidrich - but despite enormous pressure from the Germans, Poland held on.

Klinsmann then introduced Borussia M'gladbach striker Oliver Neuville to further beef up the attack - and when Poland defender Radoslav Sobolewski was dismissed for a second Yellow Card offense in the 75th minute it looked as if it would be only minutes before Germany scored .

But the clock ran down and Poland held out - due mainly to the inspired form and heroics of Glasgow Celtic goalkeeper Boruc.

In a barnstorming finish Germany desperately fired shot after shot at the Poland goal and in the 90th minute, first Philip Lahm and then Klose hit the bar.

Two minutes into stoppage time Neuville saved Germany and sent their supporters delirious with joy when he slid a cross from Odonkor past Boruc (90+2).

Germany have qualified for the second stage of the competition.

Poland are eliminated.

The klaxons are blaring. The country has started to party.

It's going to be a long night in Germany.

ps: mmh... too bad england dusnt do well, i wished there was a better performance, because of germany maybe playing against them... in their current set they wont come far... GO ENGLAND, show trinidat and tobago why you are participating xD

Edited by Glassed Silver

If he does come in, it will probably be towards the end.

A 57th minute introduction actually.

I bet Owen is pretty gutted at the moment. He declared his ambition to be the tournament's top goalscorer, but he has only played 55 minutes or so of the opening two games. He does not look match fit, which is a shame because he has a great pedigree at the World Cup.

gerrard is my favorite footballer. that was a beauty.

never been a big fan of beckham, but his touches on the ball are pretty amazing. so many nice balls served up, with no one able to finish. that cross to krouch was absolutely perfect.

good effort by trinidad.

    • OpenAI is rolling out a major upgrade to ChatGPT memory by Pradeep Viswanathan OpenAI is rolling out a major upgrade to ChatGPT's memory, making the system more capable, current, and scalable across long-term use. Memory allows ChatGPT to remember useful details about users, including their preferences, projects, and constraints. Instead of starting every conversation from scratch, ChatGPT can use this context to provide more relevant responses in future chats. OpenAI first launched saved memories in February 2024. That feature allowed users to explicitly ask ChatGPT to save information into its memory, such as travel plans or writing preferences. However, this system had limits because it depended heavily on users giving clear instructions to remember something. Additionally, saved memories could become stale over time. In April 2025, OpenAI expanded memory by allowing ChatGPT to reference past chat context outside the saved memories list. This was powered by a background process called “dreaming,” which automatically curates memories from chat history. This made ChatGPT better at learning from natural conversation without requiring users to manually save every detail. Today, OpenAI announced a more capable and compute-efficient memory architecture built on top of dreaming. This new system improves ChatGPT’s ability to carry forward useful context, follow user preferences, and remain accurate as time passes. According to OpenAI’s internal evaluations, the new system improves factual recall from 67.9% in 2025 to 82.8% in 2026. Preference adherence improves from 55.3% to 71.3%, while accuracy over time improves from 52.2% to 75.1%. The best part of this new system is a new memory summary page where users can review ChatGPT's memories. Users can even update details, correct information, or give instructions on what topics ChatGPT should bring up and when. This new, improved memory system is available to ChatGPT Plus and Pro users in the US starting today. It will roll out to more countries, as well as Free and Go users, in the coming weeks.
    • I work for a video production company in Australia. The camera operators shoot footage and then pass the SD card over to the editors. Much easier than handing over the entire camera. Plus, on a busy day you can hand off the SD card and then pop another in for the next shoot. Or, you might have used multiple SD cards because you need the extra space for a long shoot. I also use USB cables and wifi for transferring footage, but in many cases an SD card reader is the easiest method.

Microsoft Edge security and privacy features such as Microsoft Defender SmartScreen, Password Monitor, InPrivate search, and Kids Mode help keep you and your loved ones protected and secure online. Microsoft Edge has features to keep both you and your family protected. Enable content filters and access activity reports with your Microsoft Family Safety account and experience a kid-friendly web with Kids Mode. The new Microsoft Edge is now compatible with your favorite extensions, so it’s easy to personalize your browsing experience. Microsoft Edge 149.0.4022.52 changelog: Migration to improved V2 architecture for Workspaces. Workspaces, introduced in Edge in 2022, allows users to create durable sets of tabs that can be saved and shared with others. In order to improve reliability and performance of this feature, the following changes are being made: Migrating data for saved Workspaces from OneDrive/SharePoint to Edge Sync service Removing the collaboration/share functionality of this feature For organizations who have disabled Sync through policy, the existing v1 Workspace data will still be migrated to the new architecture. New v2 Workspaces created after migration won't sync across devices and will remain local to each device. This update occurs on a progressive rollout beginning in Edge Stable v145 and will continue rolling out in Edge v149. For more information, see Getting started with Microsoft Edge Workspaces. Feature Updates Passkey Sync for Enterprise Users. Microsoft Edge is introducing support for passkey synchronization for enterprise users, enabling secure, passwordless authentication across devices. Passkeys created in Edge can now be synced seamlessly, improving sign-in experience while maintaining strong security standards. Note: This is a controlled feature rollout. If you don't see this change, check back as we continue the rollout. Enterprise WebView2 runtime downgrade via DowngradeVersion policy. Administrators can temporarily roll back specific applications to a previous WebView2 Evergreen Runtime version (N-1 or N-2) using the new DowngradeVersion policy in msedgewebview2.admx. The Downgrade Version policy allows enterprises to mitigate critical regressions by specifying per-application exe-to-version mappings. The Edge Updater installs the target version side-by-side, and the WebView2 Loader redirects targeted apps accordingly. Downgrades auto-expire with each new WebView2 release: apps pinned to N-1 remain on the same version (now becoming N-2) and will auto-update in the next release, while apps pinned to N-2 will revert to the current Evergreen version. The policy applies only to enterprise-managed devices (domain-joined or MDM-enrolled). For more information, see Microsoft Edge WebView2 Policy Documentation | Microsoft Learn. Collections retirement. Collections has been removed in this update. Users can no longer access or use the feature. To keep saved content, users can export it, or move all pages to Favorites before updating to Microsoft Edge Stable 149. For more information, see Organize your ideas with Collections in Microsoft Edge - Microsoft Support. Modern, unified, and updated Look and Feel. Microsoft Edge has updated the Look and Feel to give customers a unified experience across all of Microsoft AI surfaces including Copilot and Bing. This changes multiple elements of the UX such as spacing, corners, fonts, default colors, etc. Clarify choices surrounding third-party cookie settings. Language under Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Cookies are clarified to better describe the choices users have in managing third-party cookies. Custom primary password retirement. Users are no longer able to create a new custom primary password in Edge Settings edge://settings/autofill/passwords/settings. Any users who are still using a custom primary password will be automatically migrated to device authentication. Additionally, the PrimaryPasswordSetting policy will no longer support the WithCustomPrimaryPassword option. For more information, see Keep your saved passwords private in Microsoft Edge | Microsoft Support. Unifying Copilot Chat policy controls. The Microsoft365CopilotChatIconEnabled policy is the standard for configuring Copilot Chat. Previously, this behavior was controlled by blocking the Copilot extension, either explicitly or by using the * wildcard via the ExtensionSettings or ExtensionInstallBlockList policies. Extension and sidebar policies no longer affect the appearance or functionality of Copilot Chat. Copilot address bar suggestions were also tied to extension policy settings. Starting in Microsoft Edge version 149, admins can use the CopilotAddressBarSuggestionsEnabled policy to manage this behavior. Intune MAM Protected Downloads. The protected downloads feature for Intune MAM is now available for BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) devices, which aren't managed by a tenant.
