Team for today

Robinson

A.Cole,Rio,Terry,Harvgreaves

J.Cole,Gerrard,Carrick,Lampard,Beckham

Rooney.

Svens a dope. He takes Theo Walcott and now that the Worldcup is here he still hasn't played him or gave him a run out, I'm not saying he should play in this game but Rooney surely aint match fit to play a lone strikers role today, I know he gives 120% but I just don't get Sven at all sometimes.

Only thing I am happy about for todays game is the midfield with Carrick involved and giving Gerrard the chance to push up, hopefully that will be enough for us to beat the Ecuadorians

Hargreaves right back, bit concerned there. He better not make a ###### up otherwise I'll be giving Sven and him some more abuse, he did well against Sweden but this is right back... I believe Ecuador have a pacey winger so thats why they've taken Carragher out and stuck Hargreaves there. So fingers crossed

If we play well and play as a team and not like England over 80's then we should win, but if these tactics don't go to plan then god knows mate. We'll see ay.

Well, Congrats to all argentina, great game, I'm proud of my team, Mexico played well, we scored first and managed the game, too bad 2 injuries made the team very tired @ the end. And what a Goal. We can go with our heads high because we played and almost defeated the best team so far in the WC. BTW, Argentina should have won earlier the referee wrongly invalidated the goal at the end of the time.

Yeah, the goal was perfectly legit. And frankly it would have been better for anyone to finish the game at minute 90. Players were too tired in the end. Both teams played very well, I'm proud of my team (argentina) too, and reps for mexico for playing that well. It was the best match so far, and the goal by maxi was AMAZING.

I hope argentina can beat germany next friday, they deserve it.

I know referees are not as bad as WC2002, but the referee yesterday (the one with the flag) made 2 serious mistakes. You can't rule out a world cup just by bad arbitrary decisions.

I've got a strong feeling Walcott will come on at rouchly 70/75 mins. I don't think Rooney's up to playing a full 90 on his own. Partnered with another striker? yes, alone? no.

I hope he does if we haven't scored by then, I'd like to see lennon play too, he was really good for the short time he did play.

I imagine Crouch, Lennon and Downing will be the sub's used to today. He cannot justify leaving out the inform Crouch totally, so I cant see Walcott being used unless we revert to 442.

Because the football was mediocre (both sides), sry to say this....but its true.

Agreed. England player poorly, but hopefully we will be able to raise our game against the bigger teams. Rooney, Ashley Cole, Carrick and Gerrard player brilliantly, the rest of the team were strangely poor.

Lampard was especially dissapointing, he has had about thirty or so shots in this World Cup and he has not scored yet and missed some sitters. People say he bring's goals to the team, but considering he is not scoring many goals, what else is he bringing?

I think Portugal will beat Holland, although I would prefer England face Holland in the quarter's, but I hope that will be a good game either way.

You know what bothers me ?

The fact that they have such great players and wont create a single nice movement.

It is all resumed to give the ball to Beckham(or goalkeeper) and lauch the ball for 50-60 mts to the attack, corners or free kicks.

Imo, its all that coach's fault.... I sincerely dunno why you kept him so long.

Anyway, congrats for the qualification.

:D

    • The current Statcoungter desktop numbers has Google Chrome increasing it's market share this past year and currently commanding 75% share. Everybody else is just making up the numbers with even MS Edge losing 3% this past year and has dipped just below 10% share which is staggering considering it's default on every Windows deviced purchased. If these numbers are correct that terrible Edge number is both devastating and embarrassing for MS especially when you add in the terribly low Bing market share. This leads me to ask a couple of questions as the default browser holding just less than 10% market share seems really weird. It used to be that all Chromium browsers were being counted as Google Chrome in some cases.  Is this still happening? Do these high Google Chrome numbers contains some Edge user numbers?
    • Yeah, all web browsers seem to have some junk in them these days. The regular Brave browser has a lot of unnecessary stuff in it, similar to Microsoft Edge, so I don't see any benefits of using Brave over Microsoft Edge if you already have Microsoft Edge fully set up with ad blockers and that. The cleanest or best free browser outside of 'Microsoft Edge' I’ve tried so far is 'Samsung Browser'. It has very little bloat and is a nice-looking web browser with an inbuilt 'Ad blocker'. I also really like the web browser called 'Floorp' that is based on Firefox. This browser can also install Chrome extensions. I have a system wide Ad blocking program for Windows 11 that doesn't just blocks ads in the web browser, but over the whole system. I don't really need a web browser with an inbuilt ad blocker because of that.
