this is exactly what i had in mind, brilliant ;)

can't wait for it to be released. possible you could release it with and without the KDE logo? or maybe with a windows one?

Here are my contributions to the 'Log Off' and 'Turn Off Computer' screens. Huge thanks go out to everaldo for granting me permission to use and modify his images and icons, and also to honz for allowing me to use the buttons he made for his screens :D Please read the ReadMe.txt included in the zip file for instructions, disclaimers and acknowledgements...Enjoy!

EDIT: This zip includes only the BMP images..you will have to modify the shell32.dll and the msgina.dll yourselves.

EDIT II: Guys I fixed the buttonline bug. The zip file has been updated use the same download link as above. Found the problem which wasn't in the original buttons images that honz sent me, but that I had lowered the color resolution from 24 bit to 8 bit. Any one who has downloaded this zip please re-download it again to fix the bug pointed out about the thin blue line across the buttons.

hehe, yeah! Well everyone has their own personal preferences I guess. I still like the original ones I posted, but I listened to the suggestions that were made and tried to come up something that included all the requests.

I was thinking of adding a page to the Crystallized site which includes screenies and links to all the available logoff/shutdown bmps made.

That's an excellent logoff screen...I really like the grey element to it and it would work very well!

Hey Honz, your logoff is cool, I do like the penguin and the gray matchs the start menu. I might choose to use this one instead. I still want to see what it looks like on my system. Well see :)1

Solace, I might give a second option for the windows logo. I'll try this afternoon. I don't really have access to a windows logo off hand unless I just used the one that honz orignally used. But might be a little hard to remove.

A boot screen would be cool. Boot screens are what? 256 color right? I might take a try at it. This logoff stuff was really my first attempt at editing the windows dll files without previous stuff done. I had edited aim from time to time. But, nothing released. I wonder how a boot screen would look.
