[UK]ISP Change

Recommended Posts

I'm in need to change me ISP. AOL has served me alright so far (apart from the complete unreliabilty of the connection). My needs are:

1. A RELIABLE connection.

2. Cheapish (?15 to ?25)

3. Not Cable, should use BT phoneline (For teh MAC code thing:):))

4. 2-8mbit download (with a decent upload (above 256kbps but not needed)

5. A RELIABLE connection.

6. Should work on a Ma:p:p

7. Another one. No extra phone call bundling crap.

I've looked at Zen Internet, Be, Eclipse and Pipex, Bulldog

Should I be going for one of those choices or should i look at a different company? Atm I'm leaning towards Bulldog but I've heard that they are extremely unreliable, can anyone else comfirm it?

Thanks x-x-x

I've heard great things about Be.

Eclipse are supposed to be great as well, but they've been having serious problems with their traffic management.

Pipex are expensive...you pay ~?28 for an 8Mb service that has an acceptable usage policy.

For ?24, the same price as Be, Zen offer 8Mb but with a 20GB hard cap.

Stay well clear of Bulldog - they are a disaster.

So I would recommend Be - up to 24Mb (depending on line), up to 1.3Mb upload, and truly unlimited. And a fantastic price of ?24.
