Ah, it does bring back some fond memories  (and not so fond ones, I remember the media player in Windows 95 can sometimes crash and bring a BSOD when trying to play a media file :pinch: ).

PSG22?

Haha! It is successful to use Windows Media Player 7.1 in Windows Chicago!

Well I'll be a monkey's uncle... I thought that MS had been tweaking and slowly improving this dialog from Windows 95 all the way to Server 2003, when they had it nearly perfect for Chicago Beta 1.

network.gif

If they had continued with that, and replaced those side buttons with an "Add..." and "Properties" button for each of the four sections, along with a similarly clear "Bindings" tab, it would've been done. I'll see how Vista is when it's done downloading, but I have every confidence that the networking setup won't be as intuitive as this could've been (unless you're fine with just install it + DHCP).

However, Chicago Beta 1 is not stable to test

  • 4 weeks later...

Nice thats funky useful aswell :) strange enough Windows ME when was finally seems still act's a Beta :p lol if anyone has had ME would know what im on about lol. Blue screens of Death and kernal errors and the constant lag and the annoying Errors poping up all over the place :D seems like one big death trap lmao

    • COBOL itself is not the problem. Code that has been bodged and kludged over decades but still somehow runs is probably the sort of Gordian knot that even AI can't necessarily unravel.
    • Nice devices but my Surface Pro 9 got bricked from a Windows Update efter only three years. Never buying a device from MS again.
