MediaSoldier Posted June 17, 2006 Share Posted June 17, 2006 Hey, i was looking at my router earlier and browsing and it says: disabling Broadcast SSID is a lowers security risk also it says "Enable AES encryption if your equipment supports it." Unholy Moley! Posted June 17, 2006 Share Posted June 17, 2006 Disreguard the suggesting on disabling SSID broadcasting (network name broadcasting). WPA encryption can use TKIP or AES. AES is hardware dependent, so not all cards support it. Using AES is perfered, but using TKIP is just as good as long as you choose a strong passphrase.
