CCC is bloated :p ATI Tray tool is the best way to go^^

QFT! If you must have a control-center of some kind, ATI TT rocks.

The fact that CCC is bloated is only half the problem, because it takes a million years to load and consumes unecessary memory. The skin-feature sucks and the display where you can see in 3d before- and after-effects are just completely unecessary.

fyi.

ATi will release, every 3 months, drivers that will support those cards that are currently listed as "unsupported".

I'm assuming since this practice started with these drivers, that the next ones to support 7 and 8 thousand series would be released in August.

Thanks for ressurecting an old thread -- I just redownloaded the drivers by accident, thinking they were new :(

I'm waiting for a new Multimedia Center. 9.14 sucks, as did 9.13 and so on.....

They are working on the "Catalyst Media Center" to replace the MMC. I think it will be out when the new HDTV card using the Theater 650 Pro chip comes out. I might sell my HDTV Wonder to get it but that depends on this broadcast flag that might be on it. I might just find another card then if the "Catalyst Media Center" doesnt work with the old HDTV Wonder, hardware encoding with its own optional outputs so it doesnt use the video card at all. That would be nice.

More info with screen shots

Will it work with my ATI 9600 AIW?

    • On the one hand, it shouldn't be difficult. You buy a computer, you decide what OS you want, which browser etc. Simple enough. But that's the techie side of things. My sister, my mother, wouldn't bother with such a thought. And I'm pretty sure that if you presented a window asking them what to pick they would say, "I don't care! I just want to access my Email!"

    • Anyone who expects MS to play fair is a complete idiot.
    • Everyone behaves like Internet Explorer just never happened and Edge is whole new thing all while Microsoft is pulling the exact same ###### it did back then. Sigh.
