I was just wondering how many people bike on neowin, and I also wanted to ask a few questions. See the Poll above. Post anything you like relating to biking, how long you bike everyday, how much money you spent on your bike or give tips to the bike newbs. Discuss!

Well once i road my bike 2 miles without using the handle bars, and that was going around turns and such, also might I add over a rail road track. I felt pretty cool at the time.

I love biking, I use my bike to get around pretty much everyday (4-7 miles a day at a guess) and if not I just go out and ride it for fun along trails pretty much goin as fast as possible. I have a regular mountain bike with front suspension, nothing too special. I've been looking at getting a proper jump bike though.

as for your q's, I don't pedal especially fast just for changing gear but I time it so i flick the leaver as I'm pushing down with my right foot. I usually sit or crouch if I'm doing a wheelie although if I get a jump bike I'll have no option but to crouch.

on a side note, always wear a helmet. I had a really close call when speeding down a hill and was so lucky not to have hit my head or wraped myself round the lamp post. They're so cheap and light now days there is no reason not to get one.

yes but yet very uncomfortable. hence i never use it. i know i will learn the hard way someday, but such is my nature :)

anyway i bike quite a lot too. in fall/spring i was biking to uni everyday..thats about 10km :) ocasionally i go for longer rides like 50-100km. too bad there is not much destinations to bike to in toronto so long rides are very rare. mostly i bike to get around. going to downtown in 20km, so do that too from time to time :D

slimy, i see you are from toronto as well? where do you bike?

i can do wheel stand but not longer then 30secs-1min. its a random thing..sometimes i cant even stand for 5 secs without falling to side. cant do any other tricks.

I use to bike 4-8 miles a week with a bunch of friends. It felt awesome. I could've biked the whole way without hands but it was a tight road for biking.

Well I'm in North York, so I doubt I'd see you around - but just maybe. I don't bike very much but when I do, it's always a lot of fun :D

I just remembered last time I rode a bike a year or so ago. Was riding round to meat a mate to give him some stuff in the middle of the night with no lights or anything and no helmet. I couldn't see very much in the dark and I heard a noise and listened hard, then my mate coming the other way clipped my handlebar. Luckily we both managed to not bail. Now that I think of it I wasn't wearing any shoes either. xD
