rip off of what??? there media centre keyboard???. as this looks like a updated version of that(which i have and its very good). This looks like a great keybaord but i would have to try it first and see how it feels etc. and also how much will it be etc???.

This would be microsoft's second Entertament keyboard. but the first to be used for any pc. not just a media center.

looks prety good in my opinion. might be pricy though, due to the bluetooth, backlit and the finish on the keyboard.

how about the battery life?

Looks pretty good. The song got annoying though

:p I bobbed my head to it

wow another rip-off.yea it has a sleek design but thats about it.many keyboards are wire-less and are backlit.and that leaving the room crap is prolly fake.it'll just go2 sleep or something after a long-period of time of inactivity.

Dear Mr. Grinch,

You might slam this keyboard now but when it comes out and you'll see everyone around you buy it you'll get it to and by that time everyone will forget how you said it's a rip-off and you tell everyone.

"Hey look what I got. This is the best keyboard out there and in my opinion, EVERYONE should get it!"

Most likely, in order to compete with Logitech's Bluethoot Keyboard sets, its price range will be around US$189 - $299.00... I don't doubt it...

But I'm loving it already...

Are these prices that are coming from a source, or just a guess?

oh man that is such a rip off, i mean look at the way the keys are arranged in the QWERTY layout, why can't M$ ever do anything original geez.

seriously though, nice looking keyboard :)

Eh where's it's numpad?

And i think the buttons on the left are a bad idea, i have a mx 1000 mouse, and hoekey, so i have a **** load of hotkeys on my mouse. So instead of the buttons on the left they should just have Spare1a, Spare1b, Spare2a, Spare2b, like buttons the size of the letter keys, on the left of tab, shift, caps, so then i can configure them myself, more buttons in a smaller space the better.

Mouse is Bluetooth, but I'm not sure about the Keyboard. I would definately buy it if both were Bluetooth and worked with Mac OS X (To complement a Macbook Pro).

They didn't show much of it in the flash so I took some screen shots:

Nice looking keyboard. But backlight isn't anything new. Logitech had it before, and the pro line of Mac laptops had that for quite a while, too.

But strictly desktop-talking, there's no Mac equivalent, and the Logitech keyboard has only partial backlight. Must give MS credit for that.

rip off of what exactly? so microsoft is copying the wireless keyboard and backlit, because someone else has already done it? then the entire world is a rip off.. skyscrapers are a rip off, it's already been done. AMD is a rip off of Intel, because it's a processor. Ever heard of healthy compitition?

Excellent grammar too (Y), mine not might be perfect, but it's still alot.better.then.talking.like.dis

he will too. Just like vista. He's either a microsoft-hater, a pirater of the software and most likely using Windows right now, or he's using a Mac, but i highly doubt it.

The price seems a little high for a guess, but Microsoft has done stranger things.

This is from a guy who dominates spelling

I think its common sense that if they are sold together both will be Bluetooth.

Too bad noone has a release date for this.

    • Apple reluctantly forces strict new age checks on Texas users starting today by Paul Hill Apple will begin enforcing the Texas Age Assurance Law (SB 2420) following a recent court ruling that lifted an injunction on SB 2420. Starting June 4 (today), Apple will enforce strict age-verification and parental-consent rules for new Apple accounts created in Texas. This move will affect children under 18 who go to download apps or attempt to make in-app purchases. Apple previously expressed privacy concerns related to this law, but compliance is now mandatory for the company, nevertheless. Apple will use several APIs to follow the law. Principally, the Declared Age Range API will fetch the specific user age bracket (Under 13, 13-15, 16-17, or 18+) and a verification method. The Significant Change API (PermissionKit) will trigger a system dialog for parental consent if an app gets a major update or an age-rating shift. There is also a new property type in StoreKit that allows developers to automatically check when their app’s age rating has changed on a user’s device and then use the Significant Change API to request parental consent. Finally, App Store Server Notifications can be configured to tell developers when a parent revokes consent, blocking app launches. To ensure they are ready for these changes, developers must immediately use Apple’s sandbox testing environment to validate these APIs in their apps. For any developers out there finding this to be inconvenient, get used to it. Other regions, such as Utah, Louisiana, and Brazil, are looking at, or have implemented, similar rules.
    • They should show the onedrive recycle bin in a searchable manner and on app not just on the website
