Please don't post if all you are going to do is mention how you use another mail service.

Sorry, but it looks like you won't be able to participate in the Mail Beta at this time.

This might be because:

Your account is with one of our partners and has additional features that Mail Beta doesn?t support yet

Mail Beta isn?t available in your area at this time

You have a parentally controlled account

Your Microsoft Passport indicates you're under 13

Hmmmmm

Now i've had a chance to play with it, to me its pretty much the baastard child of Outlook Express and Outlook, minus the calendar and business features of Outlook, plus a load of eye candy.

I was also thinking that MS would have taken this opportunity to make adding new accounts as easy as "Add Gmail Account" and "Add Hotmail/Live Account" etc.. But no, you still have to add new accounts the Outlook Express way?

This is a useless program IMHO. Very very poor attempt by MS :no:

Anyone else agree with that assessment?

I agree Microsoft could of made this a LOT better but it is still in BETA. The problem I have is that I can access my emails through my primary @live.com email but when I add my other Hotmail account I get the following message:

Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server. This account does not have permission to synchronize your mail. To sign up to gain permission to synchronize with this account, please go to http://ideas.live.com and join the notification list for this Windows Live Mail product. You will be notified when your account is enabled. Server: 'http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v1.0.0/sync.aspx', Protocol: HTTPMail, Port: 80, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 103, Error Number: 0x8DE00002

Ans I am using the "Windows Live" interface on the web based email, anyway know why I'm getting this problem?
