They sent an email saying my account will be disconnected and my account will be credited ?40. Still CONNECTED.

Called them asking for a MAC code, the techy said they cant issue it because other ISP dont work with the same type of MAC codes.

Not yet, here is the email:

Hi Michael

Thank you for contacting us.

I'm sorry to hear that you no longer wish to go ahead with Sky Broadband.

Your Sky Broadband subscription has been cancelled as per your request. I can advise that it can take up to 14 days for your line to be fully cancelled.

Please arrange for the Sky Broadband router to be returned using the prepaid label that came with the box.

I can confirm that a refund of ?40 has been processed to source.

Should you wish to subscribe to Sky Broadband at a future date or require any further assistance, please contact us on the details below.

Regards

William Cunningham

Ok, firstly, Chordiant is NOT a troubleshooting program. It is the core account management system for Sky and is used for all main processes on an account, be it checking billing information, portfolio history, contact history, placing orders, cancelling products or subscriptions, or reinstating things...etc.

Secondly, sky broadband works perfectly well with build-in wireless. Part of the terms and conditions of Sky Broadband point out that you only need to buy wireless adaptors from Sky if you do not alreadu have a wireless enabled PC and do not wish to buy the equipment elsewhere.

Thirdly, on to earlier comments, Sky Broadband requires a TV sucscription because that is where Sky make their money. Broadband is an ADDON product, not a standalone product for Sky. Why? For the same reason it is so cheap from Sky. They make nearly no money on Broadband, and infact within the first year actually make a LOSS in setting a customer up on it. Without them also having a TV subscription, it would not be monetarily sound for Sky to provide Broadband to a customer. The same also goes for Sky Talk.
