I don't know what's going on here but, I really don't have any use for a macintosh anymore. I don't really see the difference, between a windows pc and a macintosh. I was looking at those Sony Vaio 13.3inchers and they really do look nice. Nice quality and nice built. I mean when I'm on a windows pc, i am more productive with my work, even if I am using the same program for mac. I've had my mac for 1 1/2 months now, and it works perfect, no mooing, heat, screen problems, etc. Has anyone else gone through phases like this? What did you guys do? Macs are really good computers, the OS is much better XP, Much better I must say. Even with bootcamp, I find myself using windows on the mac, more then I am using tiger.

I don't know why I brought it, maybe because I was curious?. :pinch:

Anyone got any good advice? what should I do? stick with the mac?

and If I do get a windows pc, will I regert it and want my mac back?

Get a DELL or a GATEWAY; Or better yet make your own PC, be sure to get at least a dual core too :) I can't wait to get my new PC I ll be getting mine as soon as the new Quad cores are out later this year.

I dont see much reason to get rid of your computer if you are running bootcamp anyway. Wouldnt it just end up costing you money? If you really dont like Tiger you could just format the whole drive and install Windows couldnt you? That way it would be a PC laptop.

I use the mac, for surfing the web, watching movies, chat and a little bit of music.

I was looking at the Delle1505, I can get the top of the line laptop for less then what I payed for the mac with coupons.

Sonys do seem expensive and I am leaning more over the dells.

Windows on a macintosh doesn't feel right.

WHat should i do.

i went through that phase.

i bought a mac because i had money and i wanted to see how a mac performes.

i lost a lot of computer knowledge while on my mac.

i lost interest in everything.

but now i got a pc and im selling my mac.

i will not regret it.

you won't either.

just sell the mac. unless you can keep it and get a pc at the same time.

i would do that but i have NO use for a mac. other then looking at the F9 F10 and F11 thingy.lol

Can i have your Mac! I have been trying to save for a MacBook.. I dont know how much your looking for ... but I would like to discuss it?! I am only 16 and am very short on cash.. PLEASE!!

P.S. - If begging like that isnt allowed, dont punish me mods, just delete/edit my post.

Dun switch back!! Stay with the mac'ers

your horrible grammar is enough reason to switch back.

what Xero wanted to say was:

"Don't switch back, stay with Macintosh Users!"

but i must agree with you on switching from Mac to PC. I tried using a mac to work before, and being a long time PC user, just using a PC makes things so much quicker and easier. It might be my lack of Mac knowledge..

Xero: It's "grammar", with an a. (You know I'm just kidding buddy)

If you do decide to switch back, avoid Gateway at all costs; they have overheating issues and HORRIBLE support (they wiped my mom's harddrive even though she requested they don't, and installed Windows 98). I'd also advise against the Viao, but simply because I believe Sony won't last much longer, and I don't trust their build quality at all, but I've never owned a Viao, so I can't speak for that. If possible, I'd go for the new Lenovos, as the reviews that I've heard are great, and the design is MUCH better than the old Thinkpads (I've heard their support is amazing as well :)).

Why sell it? If I were you, I'd keep it, just to have a mac around, why get ANOTHER windows system when you could have something different for once? You may even get back into OS X. I have my PC and iMac next to eachother and use them both. The battle of the OS's, isn't even a battle, neither is better than the other, it is a matter of choice on which one you use.

Yeah thats true Chimera, but now I know i'm not a mac guy. :)

I could run windows on the mac, but there something that doesnt feel right about it when I use it.

I'm planning on buying a XPS notebook.

I'm thinking if I should give it some more time till i get used to it, or should I just take pictures and put it on ebay.

Thanks for your advice guys.

That seems like an expensive way to purchase good karma. As long as you can get your work done, why care whether or not it "feels right"? It seems unnecessarily emotional.

    • Microsoft admits one of the most crucial Outlook features is currently broken by Sayan Sen Microsoft is making some decent progress when it comes to Windows 11. Recently we have confirmed reports of some rather useful improvements landing in the next version of the OS, 26H2, wherein GPU driver TDR crashes may finally be fixed, plus the company is also allowing users to disable web content on the Search. On the Outlook front though things have not been so rosy. Last month in May we reported several problems affecting basic functionalities on the app. These included a problem where documents would open blank or corrupt themselves. Following that, Quick Steps, a very useful feature, would no longer work correctly, and finally, Microsoft acknowledged a problem wherein images would fail to load up properly inside the email. Microsoft had resolved those bugs later and almost exactly a month after we reported on them, the company has now admitted a new similarly basic issue, this time on Macs. Users recently started noticing that Outlook would no longer display email threads properly as the original message itself was not displayed. An affected user Tsoumpas, C (ngmb) nicely described the problem in a forum post they made on Microsoft's site. They wrote: "Description of the issue: After updating Outlook for Mac [Version 16.110 (26061317)] on 18/6/2026, replying to any email no longer includes the original message in the reply window. Prior to the update, replies correctly contained the original email text below my response. Expected behavior: The original message should be included in the reply, as in previous Outlook versions and according to the configured reply settings. Actual behavior: The reply window contains only a blank composition area (or only my response), with none of the original email text included." Obviously this must be a highly frustrating for users as noted by several in that thread. The post, at the time of writing, has also been upvoted by more than 40 users indicating that is a fairly widespread bug. Thankfully Microsoft seems to have acknowledged the problem right around that time as it opened a new issue on its official website. In the support article, the company recommends switching to Outlook for Mac from the legacy app, where the problem appears to be happening.
