PL_ Veteran Posted July 24, 2006 Veteran Share Posted July 24, 2006 Right, so I have this computer with a GeForce 6200, which has DVI and VGA outputs. I am hoping to get a HDTV, for using with my Xbox 360 (component), and I want to link my PC to this TV. I am assuming I just get a VGA cable, and one end for the PC, other end for TV, right? I have checked, and the refresh rate on the PC is 60Hz :)
lnmnky
Yes. It's what I do, expect for with DVI.

lnmnky
Silly question, maybe, but is there much of a difference? People claim to be able to tell the difference, but I don't see it. Maybe some sets/monitors have a lower quality vga, or people have super eyes. If vga was ever blury, it'd be on a crap set or cable. DVI can do HDCP also. xbox can upscale dvd over vga, but then you need to have vga+dvi to have your PC on also.
