Guys, just call me Max. ;)

It is a lot easier. :p

Sorry, someone else has the name Max who's very involved in the project :p

I have this 50% downloaded, but my Parallels trial is gone. Now I need to convince my mom to help (not buy) me buy it since I can't use my bank card online, and that means going by her schedule.

Excellent work everyone, I'm glad this is finally getting distributed a little :)

Has anyone booted this up yet? If so, some feedback would be well appreciated, perhaps some screens of you guys running it!

Hey,

DHT: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Distributed_hash_table

Basically it means its trackerless. You said you can not host the tracker for long so we need a trackerless one or a dedicated tracker which we don't have atm...

Take Care,

Will

Darn posts edits, I swear. ;)

Now I'm a linux noob, but have tinkered in the past (as barney can testify) It booted OK, the wallpaper was not full screen (1280x1024) And I don't know if it is resizable yet. GIMP and ABI worked, firefox didn't.

Hmmm, intriguing. Worked okay for me. I'll be interested to see how others get on with this.

Tried firefox, didn't work. Then tried GIMP - worked, then tried ABI - worked, then Firefox again and it didn't work.

Downloading torrent now, and will be seeding for others.

Will check it out when I have it all downloaded.

EDIT: Off to a slow start... Hasn't gone above 3KB/s for me yet. :ermm:

Hmmmm.... my Bittorrent says that the torrent file is invalid  . I swear..... I'll have to get the .iso some other way.

Barney

No one's seeding it, everyone seems to be getting it off me. I'll see what I can do, I only have 50% downloaded for seeding sake. Could I just replace the file everyone is downloading with the one I have fully downloaded?

The reason I know no one is seeding is because I'm not downloading anything. but uploading at 7.6KB/s.

    • DXVK generally performs better on Linux (using Wine/Proton) than on Windows. Because Linux utilizes highly optimized, open-source Vulkan drivers (like RADV/ACO) that were specifically built for AMD Radeon hardware, the translation of Direct3D 9/11 to Vulkan is highly efficient. But if you take the trouble to watch my video, you can see that there are also advantages for Nvidia users. You see that I run Assassin's Creed Odyssey on 4GB RAM and on an i3-3240. What do you think are the minimum system requirements for windows11? For CPU-based rendering, Linux is generally faster than windows11 by about 15% due to lighter background overhead and efficient kernel scheduling.
