Veedems Veteran Posted August 13, 2006 Veteran Share Posted August 13, 2006 Anyone have an idea why it won't play QT files for me? I have QT installed and it works fine in other players, but this one seemingly refuses to play them. apul
for audio: Audio --> Select Stream for subtitles: Subtitles ---> Select Language OK, I find them. But it doesn't work, whereas subtitles and audio streams are perfect in VLC... I'll wait for a new version. I have the same problem with GOM playing quicktime files, for me GOM just crashes whenever i try to load the file. Other than that i really like this player. Symphony
Even if it manages to play a mov, sometimes there is an audio sync delay during the whole movie. (Like in the 102 MB Animatrix Big_trailer HQ.mov) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/485882-gom-player-2091/page/2/#findComment-587783782 Share on other sites
+unabatedshagie Subscriber¹ Posted August 14, 2006 Subscriber¹ Share Posted August 14, 2006 I tried playing some HD trailers. I can't even get it to play normal .mov files, says I don't have the codec installed. Strange seeing that I also have the official quicktime player installed too.Anyone know how to set this up so that the player doesn't change size with every video played? Merit
Well, There's a new version out of Gom Player now. I don't know what changed, but it seems that it's now unicode, so the subtitles problem should be solved (when subtitles had letters like ? ? etc we had some strange things appeared. Well, i just tried, subs are solved now. The default icons for .avi, etc has changed too. It's nicer (before, it was really ugly). It's my preferred player, i use it every time now instead of MPC.
