mindcontrol Posted August 12, 2006 Share Posted August 12, 2006 I was configuring my system with the follow tools secpol.msc and gpedit.msc, when reboted my pc the service Remote Procedure Call (RPC) didnt want to start anymore, when i tried to start it manual, then I get the follow error messenge (Could not start the remote Procedure Call (RPC) on Local Computer 'Error 5: Access denied' This is a very big issue cause windows xp can not function normally without the (RPC) service and allso i cant open the tools secpol.msc and gpedit.msc anymore to restore the settings cause I'm sure i did configure something wrong. My question is does someone have experience with this issue or know how to fix it? I hope somone can help me out, I'll preciate it. Best regards John.
