The alpha bulids were basied off of XP SP1 i think....

though it does look good. i think the curent one looks better. for all we know they could have cleaned it up a bit. That damn line logo is everyware in beta 2 some places a bit too munch.....

anyone with a recent bulid care to post a screenshot of the curent log on screen?

imho, that login screen looked better than the beta vista one.

Man that was like in the Plex Era of Aero in 2003.

The current login in Vista seems to have too much green and plastic in my opinion, at the same time it's not that bad but there's room for improvement.

Here's a link to a connect bug I submitted about 2 months ago about the clock on the login screen, for BTs who want to V&V...

Not everyone here is a technet, msdn or conect sucriber...

Here is another feedback fourm that may be aimed for those in the CPP.

for bugs and other ishues, you'll need to download the Microsoft beta client tool:

http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=43655

Note both can be used by any party, not just the CPP or the upper end sucribers.

by the way I just found out where the topic starter got the "bulid"

http://www.winfuture.de/screenshots/Window...5.6-1950-1.html

it's funny cuz the same exact screenshots that started this convo. are on the page with the link i just gave ya.

    • I'm still rocking iOS 25.x on my primary phone cuz iOS 26 still has usability quirks (mostly aesthetic and thus its UX) which I don't wanna deal with -- and I've been piloting them with all of these updates on my backup phone, so I'm well aware of its "improvements" since iOS 26 was first released (compared to version 26.5.x).
