Lost - Season Three

Found this on thetailsection.com, synopsis of The Glass Ballerina apparently:

Over at Lost Rumours I've been sent what I believe to be a fairly credible synopsis of Episode 2 - The Glass Ballerina.

Read on if you want to see it.

This is basically what happens. Some interesting little bits I will leave for the viewing.

Ep is Sun & Jin-centric called "The Glass Ballerina." Backstory focuses more on Sun's love affair with Jae Lee. It seems that her baby might not actually be Jin's after all. Jae Lee is killed at the end by a couple of a mob guys who worked for Sun's father. He also had a wife who at the end blames Sun for his death. The glass ballerina is a gift Sun's father gave her when she was a child. The flashbacks give a closer glimpse into their relationship as well.

On the island Sayid formulates a rescue mission with Jin and Sun. He says they need to continue to circle the island and find The Other's real camp which must be inland not too far from where they are. Sayid is desperate to rescue Jack, Kate, and Sawyer. Sun protests saying they can't just go running into the jungle to try and save them when they know so little and accuses him of putting their lives in danger because he's obsessed with revenge against The Others. It's obvious that deep down Sun actually wants to leave with the sailboat while they can, but Jin, like Sayid, is determined to help his friends. Sun gives in and asks what she can do to help but Jin tells her to just keep safe, he can't have anything happen to her now.

Some of The Others have apparently scouted them and report back to the hydra station. Alex tells Ben about the sailboat. He says he wants the boat and they'll have to do something about that.

Ben later comes to Jack with an offer. Jack is completely beaten down, Ben touches on this. He says that he should give up on Kate and Sawyer, they aren't his friends, etc. He tells Jack that he can give him a boat to return home with if he gives them something in return.

They first need his services as a doctor.

Jack won't agree to it though. And it's clear that Ben isn't giving up on this yet.

Meanwhile Kate and Sawyer are taken out of the cages and led off into a clearing in the jungle where they are put to work digging. Yes, digging. The Other in charge here bosses them around a bunch and roughs up Sawyer a bit. Sawyer doesn't cooperate at first and nearly gets his jaw broken by new girl Colleen, who I don't think we've seen before. When asked why they are digging the guy says "No questions no hesitation, get to work".

At night, Sun, Jin and Sayid reach the dock where Michael and Walt were set free and are ambushed by Zeke and some others. They have a shootout. Sun is shot at on the boat, and falls into the water. When Sun resurfaces, we see that Sayid killed one of them, the rest retreated back into the jungle. Sayid says they have to follow after them. Sun expresses to Jin how she really feels. And ultimately it's decided the three of them need to return back to camp and regroup with the rest of the losties.

Zeke/Tom tells Ben that they didn't get the boat and that they lost one of them. For the first time we see some real anger from Ben. He tells Tom he will not allow another failure.

At the end The Others tell Sawyer and Kate they're done for the night. They send them back to their cages, both exhausted.

Where did you see a van?

Think he is on about the Misfit idiot person who saw a van in one of the captures from the episode...of course that could be a trailer on site as that has happened before.

Interesting dheaddy

without discussing the content of next episodes spoiler (which i refuse to read), how many people believe the lost spoilers that go around?

This is JJ's award-winning show, no?

It's his "precious" and details don't just 'leak' for every episode.....

It's his "precious" and details don't just 'leak' for every episode.....

Sometimes its word of mouth for the episodes and other times its links to ABC...probably at the moment the episode is complete and if you know someone who test runs it before its sent to ABC then you could get the right sypnosis....sometimes I believe them and other times I don't.

Most are around the right lines of the episode and some people just make the episode up around the promos which is easy to do but most are slightly correct with the story....the only time it was right was when the premiere was in Hawaii before the episode aired on ABC...lol

New Promo has been aired for "Glass Ballerina".

Episode 4 Guest Cast Below...

ABC have just released the Guest list for Episode 4 - Every Man for Himself.Guest starring are Kiele Sanchez as Nikki, Rodrigo Santoro as Paulo, M.C. Gainey as Mr. Friendly, Michael Bowen as Pickett, Ian Gomez as Munson, Bill Duke as Warden Harris, Ariston Green as Jason, Dustin Geiger as Matthew, Kim Dickens as Cassidy, Dorian Burns as prison guard and Peter Ruocco as Agent Freedman.

Also Kate and Sawyer adjust to working life on the Island in the new ABC Sneek Peak...

Back to how they possibly got Jack's info (besides the truth serum), remember when Sayid found the cable coming out of the ocean in S1. Could they have some link back to Hanso Foundation?

Please everyone abide by these simple guidelines for discussing the show:

1. If the show has aired based on Eastern Standard Time, then it can and will be discussed openly, with no spoiler tags.

2. Any theories can and will be discussed openly with no spoiler tags, since they are purely guesses and speculation.

3. If you have info about upcoming show plots or happenings, PLEASE USE SPOILER TAGS!

As I recall this is they way last season was handled.

    • What people who support this position of LibreOffice do not understand is that EuroOffice is not made to appease the open source enthusiasts (I am also one) and evangelists. EuroOffice was made because some European companies wanted independence from Microsoft Office Suite, which is something installable on your computer. This move to independence was pushed by public institutions and governments in Europe, as well. Using a proprietary FORMAT as default, does not make you dependent on MS. The actual program does. A format can be changed with a simple update in the future in a dystopian world where MS would manipulate the format to lock others out. However, using MS Office proprietary format, guarantees that all the current documents used by companies, organizations, institutions, etc, will be compatible with EuroOffice and the suite will have the best chances at adoption, especially by slow moving organizations like governments and the public sector. It is as simple as that. For the same reason, even the UI is incredibly similar to MS Office. For the same reason (adoption) the choice was made to be open source. Not because EU particularly loves open source ideologically, but because it gives the best starting point to create trust in the project and amass developers and contributions to the project quickly, to catch up with proprietary projects like MS Office. I don't understand how people don't realize it.
    • How old is this tip? Seems 15-20 years old? Processor states for the CPU under Windows power options has been a thing for a long, long time. It certainly isn't new or hidden... Also, with laptops it doesn't make any difference what OS you are running, all of them are configured for battery longevity over performance, for obvious reasons.
    • I can't believe Starmer is still there...his party lost so big. He's a stubborn coot, but this is largely unenforceable, so I would imagine he'll be resigning soon. A key here is for parents to buy their kids phones sans Internet access--and set up the Internet at home, where mom and day can, you know, act like parents instead expecting the government to raise their kids.
    • EA launches in-game advertising platform for brands to "connect with audiences" by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The gaming giant Electronic Arts is exploring more ways to inject real-life brands into its games. Announced today as EA Advertising, the new platform is attempting to make it easier for brands to reach out for deals with the company and put their products inside titles like EA Sports FC, Madden, NHL, Skate, or The Sims. EA revealed that its EA Sports side of the company brings in "hundreds of millions of players across console, PC, and mobile" every year. Fan engagement of these titles was also touted as being "extraordinary," with 23,000 NFL seasons worth of games being played in Madden NFL daily, while EA Sports FC sees over a billion matches a day. “Players come to EA’s games and live experiences every day to play, watch, create and connect,” said David Tinson, Chief Experiences Officer at Electronic Arts. “That gives brands a meaningful opportunity to show up in ways that add value and respect the player experience, while maintaining authenticity in the worlds our teams are building. With EA Advertising, we’re helping brands become part of those moments in ways that are relevant and built for players.” Using the new program EA Advertising, brands will be able to inject their products into games in real-time via dynamic placement. EA says partners will have access to everything from stadium signage in sports games and targeted adverts to in-game content custom-made for the brands. These are described as additions designed to "enhance, not disrupt" experiences. "In these interactive gameplay environments, brands become part of the game itself, reflecting how players engage with advertising in real-world contexts," adds the company "Brands can activate across live environments, tailoring placements to meet campaign objectives, and update campaigns with ongoing optimization informed by aggregated engagement insights." Current real-world brand partnerships EA has built into its games include Visa (EA Sports FC and College Football), Lowe's (EA Sports FC, Madden NFL, and College Football), Red Bull (EA SPORTS FC), Xfinity and Peacock (EA SPORTS FC), and Mountain Dew’s (College Football).
