Lost - Season Three

OMG Check this out - Spoiler

Guess WHO is Back??? You won't believe who! :o

http://tinyurl.com/nbmkj

Yeah, he was on the list of guests for the season. He's probably going to be in either a dream, like Ana Lucia in Mr. Eko's dream, or in a flashback.

Very interested to see what he's doing myself.

From that image, it looks like he might be in a dream. He's covered in blood, wearing what appears to be the same clothes he died in. So I'm thinking a dream that Locke has.

Please everyone abide by these simple guidelines for discussing the show:

1. If the show has aired based on Eastern Standard Time, then it can and will be discussed openly, with no spoiler tags.

2. Any theories can and will be discussed openly with no spoiler tags, since they are purely guesses and speculation.

3. If you have info about upcoming show plots or happenings, PLEASE USE SPOILER TAGS!

As I recall this is they way last season was handled.

I would argue thats not very fair for those who download it cos they're overseas... which can sometimes take as long as 12 hours after its initial airing in the US.. but thats just me..

Does anyone have any downloadable versions of the promos for next week?

I'm supremely confident in your abilities to stay out of this thread until you've seen the current episode.

Considering that Neowin's policy is that you are not even allowed to MENTION illegally downloading movies/shows - I'd say this policy is fair. ;)

Seriously, no discussions of downloading the show unless you are referring to watching it on the ABC site.

Sawyer had some great lines in that episode, I laughed out loud a couple of times.

"How dare you?!" :D

My favorite part with Sawyer was when he said, "you taste like strawberries" to Kate and she replies, "you taste like fish biscuits." Now that was funny.

Did you watch last night's episode, because I'm fairly certain what you're suggesting is physically impossible.

I don't think so. Jae had already been badly beaten by Jin; Sun could have been hiding some where and surprised Jae. It's possible. But I don't think that's what it was, I'm fairly certain it was suicide. Or possibly Sun's father sent more than just Jin after Jae and when Jin couldn't do it, the other guy finished Jae off. The necklace tells me it was suicide.

Or off of iTunes, which downloads fairly quick, at least for me.

Ah, bugger. When he said Sun, I thought Jin and was thinking, "well, Jae fell on his car while he was in it...he couldn't have killed him.

But I don't think Sun did it either. You're right, the necklace in his hand is supposed to show that he committed suicide.

maybe sun's father was at that hotel and maybe he killed him? i know the necklace was in his hand, but you know in lost everything is not always the way it seems....

can anyone explain why for three years the others didn't know that desmond had a boat?

Well he crashed his boat on the island and Kelvin found him and took him to the Swan hatch, he was in there for 3 years and never left the hatch. But i wonder how they didn't see him circle the island after he left in episode 3

    • Linux 7.1 arrives with an NTFS overhaul and major hardware performance boosts by Paul Hill The founder of the Linux kernel has just announced the availability of Linux 7.1. This is a stable version of the kernel that will now be tested by various Linux distributions before it is shipped to users through update managers. Some users, like those on Debian, for example, might not get it for a long time, if at all, while Fedora users can expect it in the near future. With Linux 7.1 out on time, the merge window for Linux 7.2 is now open, giving contributors the opportunity to send in major new features that have been waiting for the last two months. Torvalds warned that he is currently travelling and will be in another timezone, so timing for the merge window may be irregular due to timezone differences and limited internet access. Torvalds said that he has already fetched early pull requests to allow him to do some offline work, but the travel could still cause disruption. Right now, he is not planning to extend the release, but did consider it. He said he might later regret not extending, though. In terms of this last week of development for Linux 7.1, Torvalds said there were no major or alarming changes. This week consisted mostly of smaller driver updates to GPU, networking, and sound, networking fixes, trace tooling fixes, and misc minor fixes. The shortlog this week lists fixes for driver bugs, memory leaks, I/O and USB fixes, networking and RDMA fixes, DRM/graphics fixes, and tooling and verification improvements. Specific fixes include USB series heap-overflow and buffer overflow fixes, and multiple use-after-free, memory-leak, and refcount corrections across subsystems such as i2c, zram, gpio, and net. There are fixes for graphics drivers, including amdgpu, i915, and virtio, as well as hypervisor and virtualization tweaks affecting mshv, vmbus, and hyperv. According to Phoronix, anyone running Linux 7.1 should look out for the new NTFS driver, Intel FRED for improved performance on Panther Lake and future CPUs, faster graphics with Intel Arc Battlemage, and improvements for older AMD Radeon GPUs. If you are running Linux on your computer and everything is fine, then you don’t need to worry about updating to Linux 7.1 as a priority; just wait for it to be pushed to you. If you have tried Linux on hardware but it didn’t work properly, trying again with a distro that uses Linux 7.1 could cause Linux to work on your machine, thanks to the new hardware support.
