EDIT - Just read this on BBC News

Sky One has snapped up the rights to the award-winning drama Lost, robbing Channel 4 of one of its biggest hits.

The show, which follows a band of air crash survivors on a desert island, is thought to have cost the channel ?20m, reports trade paper Broadcast.

"We're absolutely thrilled," said Sky One's director of programmes, Richard Woolfe, who said the cult drama had been the "envy of every network".

When Lost premiered on Channel 4 in 2005, it attracted six million viewers.

However, audiences for the second series have been lower - averaging around 2.8 million, and dropping as low as 1.9 million.

Critical success

The series, made by US network ABC, has been a critical and commercial success on both sides of the Atlantic.

The first season won six Emmys and the show's creator, JJ Abrams, was hand-picked by Tom Cruise to direct Mission: Impossible 3.

Sky One's deal gives it the rights to the third and fourth series of the programme.

"We want to air the show as close to US transmission as possible, and not have anything like a nine-month delay," Mr Woolfe told Broadcast's website.

Channel 4 have lost Lost...no pun intended there...thats major..:ss

A bit more info from LostPedia is that Sky aim to air first 6 episodes before christmas and also Sky 3 the Freeview channel will get the episodes 6 months after Sky One...what losers Sky are...at least a week or so after Sky One would be fair!!!

Another lost episode, at least this one was intriguing.

OK, some things.

1. It really seems strange to me how charlie went back to the camp at the end of season 2, after all that was happening in the hatch. He came back like nothing had happened / was happening. And now, when he sees locke the day after, he's beeing a complete a** to him.

2. If I remember correctly, Desmond's beard has grown. All that much in one day? This may have something to the whole "deja vu" thing. Desmond mentioned something that hadnt yet happened... bah, time travel is for Hiro, not for desmond :p

3. Strange thing what happened to the hatch. One would say that the "implusion" would have killed them all.

I liked tonight's episode, I always enjoy Locke flashbacks. His life just gets more and more tragic though!

At least a lot of loose ends were tied up regarding the hatch and the fates of the occupants. The whole Desmond being able to see into the future thing was an interesting development and in the promos

where Ben shows Sawyer something shocking as well as being injected with something looks pretty awesome!

Yeah, that threw me off somewhat throughout this episode. I guess he's still upset about getting punched in the face by Locke, but he didn't seem too concerned about the other people that were in the hatch, either.

    • If someone chooses to continue using SB and therefore goes through the manual intervention in the thread, afterwards the BSOD problem is gone. Whether they then re-enable the task doesn't matter, they're done, though on such machines it might pay to keep it disabled in case the next update (if there is a next) causes the same problem. OTOH, if someone disables SB in the BIOS, the problem is also gone. Incidentally, I noticed that this task exists even on machines that don't support SB. It's just installed across the board...and runs. Doing what on such machines is a little hazy.
