Lost - Season Three

PLEASE READ!

I'm not sure if anyone has pointed this out yet, but today in my General Studies class, the name John Locke came up, turns out he was actually a guy in the 17th century who said something about giving something to the country so the country would provide for you. (I haven't had time to google it yet lol)

but who reckons this has a connection to what John Locke in LOST said about doing things for the Island! :o

Locke is a famous philosopher and such. He developed the whole idea how something is vaulable because of the time and eefort spent in it, rather than due to the object itself (ie, the apple is wworth something because it was picked by you, rather than simply existing). I took philo classes years ago, so I might be slightly off, but that's the idea of it.

It's not like some obscure reference, but anybody with some background in it will know the name.

^ you mean anyone that took junior high us history :p

That sneak is awesome, kate is SO in love with Sawyer, I don't know what the YouTube crew were saying about Jate, it's so obvious she prefers Sawyer.

blah, I want her to pick jack...

but it looks like she will pick sawyer

btw that preview was soooooo good.

it realy got good when kate started to plead to jack to save bens life so she and sawyer can be together. Now we know what jack ment when he said "I want off this island"

When do people think we're going to see stuff about Penelope looking for Desomond? Was a bit of a omg moment in the last series and we haven't heard anything since

I remember hearing on previous podcast that we would see Penny again latter part of Season 3...thats a story I wanted to see develop as well but theres so much stuff going

Episode #310 is called " Tricia Tanaka is Dead". It features a 40ish, charming, Latino man. I'm sorry I don't know who-centric it is.

I think its a Hurley flashback episode -

Its a good episode. One thing i did notice though was the whole biblical reference. I'm to lazy to read through the whole topic but when eko was at the plane and they we're moving the boulder, it totally reminded me of when the diciples were moving the huge rock to get jesus but then he wasn't there. His brother, Yemi, was also not found in there. So maybe Yemi rose from the dead?

I think promo 2 happens before promo1.

Of course.

And I think that this is just another 'push the button' situation. The Ben issue, I mean. Nothing is really happend. Just look what happend with the (old) lady that Sun shoot to death. She dies because they dont have enough equipment to help her. Now you are going to tell me that Jack might do a really complex operation in that place on someone (ah, and if he really have that, how can he (at least to) walk with that so advanced)

Lets wait a see whats next

Of course.

Yeah that got me thinking when it was revealed it was Ben because remember the episode before when he took Sawyer to the cliff to show him the Island he was climbing the cliff alright...makes you think if he is playing Jack along tho he does go under the knife next week because we see it in the promo...so

one thing that has struck me, is the reason of eckos death, was his death necessary? other than the fact that the actor wants out of the series, his character has protected, or at his best tried to protect his brother, confessed of his sins, confronted, and as he quoted, he has done his best with the life he has been given... what is the reason that the island has to choose to kill him, and not lets say john?

    • Microsoft faces shareholder lawsuit over masking AI costs and slowing Azure growth by Karthik Mudaliar Microsoft is facing a class action lawsuit from shareholders who allege that the company intentionally overhyped its artificial intelligence initiatives to distract from slowing cloud revenue and an exploding infrastructure bill. The complaint was filed in a Seattle federal court by the Michigan-based City of St. Clair Shores Police and Fire Retirement System. The plaintiffs argue that Microsoft’s leadership painted an overly optimistic picture of its Copilot rollout and complex OpenAI partnership. They say that the company did this while downplaying the harsh reality that building the data centers required to power these next-generation tools requires a huge amount of capital. Back at the company's Q2 2026 earnings report from late January, Microsoft revealed that its flagship Azure cloud growth had slipped to 39% (down from 40% the prior quarter) and guided investors to expect a further deceleration to 37% or 38% for the first three months of 2026. Now, under normal circumstances, a slight percentage point drop in cloud growth is a minor operational hiccup. But the Redmond giant paired that guidance with $37.5 billion in quarterly capital expenditures. This figure, which is a 66% year-over-year surge, blew past any analyst estimates at that time. Much of this amount went into buying high-priced GPUs and custom silicon that were required to train and run large language models. This is why the market reacted violently and just a day after its earnings call on January 29, the company's stock plummeted 10%, and wiped out $357 billion of capital in just a trading session. Microsoft is doing better now, though. Its Q3 2026 results showed its run rate from its AI business was hitting $37 billion, proving that enterprise demand for its infrastructure is very real and continuing to scale. Microsoft isn't the only company pouring billions into infrastructure for the AI boom. We've seen most Big Tech companies, including Amazon and Google, also get the results of these **** with stronger-than-ever growth and increased income. via Reuters

    • I totally disagree. Very little good comes out of governments all around the world manipulating everything they can and usually the people are not the benefactors. What you say about being restricted and expensive sounds almost like the arguments against firearms and why banning them will protect people as if making something illegal somehow will prevent the criminals from having and using them. AI being far less mainstream could simply mean the average person will not benefit, but "big brother" and the corporations will benefit, which is almost for sure NOT a good thing.
