Lost - Season Three

I love the idea of the show, but I must say I was extremely disappointed with last nights episode. Why waste the majority of the show giving us the details of Kate's marriage, when it has nothing to do with the mysteries going on here. I feel like some of these flashbacks are just "fillers" and then we get a few minutes of the good stuff. Anyone else feel the same?

It was not "filler" it showed how Kate even though she loved that dude from firefly, still could not make a commitment and stick with him....flash forward to last night and it shows she loves Sawyer and is willing to make a commitment and wants to stick it out with him...or that?s how I viewed it......And am I the only person who likes Sawyer more than Jac:p:p For that matter Sawyer is really the only male lead character I care for...hell of a long wait for the next episode:pinch:h:

I love how after every episode, people are ready to pull the plug, claiming the show's jumped the shark or that the writers don't know where the plot is going.

But you keep watching every week anyway...

Like I've been saying for a while now. People are annoyed that they aren't getting answers and want to stop watching but if they do and then it starts getting good they will feel stupid. Everyone wants to get there moneys worth just replace money with time wasted watching filler episodes for the good bits.

I felt the pacing of the last ep was horrible, but it was a good character development episode. It was really good in that aspect. It shows how smart Jack is really, and the emotions from Kate and Sawyer were fantastic. When Kate and Jack were talking it was one of the best parts of the ep for me. Of course the ending was great and filled with suspense, I havn't seen the promo for Feb yet, but I wonder what will happen when they get to the edge of the island? Maybe get a boat/get trapped?

So much for the supposedly "best" episode of the six. If there's a reason I keep watching this, is because I sooner or later, they will have to finally give answers. But come on:

- How about the "staged" sawyer's execution? That guy would kill him off just like that? It wasn't Sawyer who killed his wife, and most importantly, Sun had every reason in the world to shot that woman. Plus, Juliette told Kate that she could prevent sayer from dying if Jack performed the surgery on Ben. Jack agrees and that guy goes to kill sawyer anyway?

- Did we learn anything about the others in this past episodes? I'd say nothing at all. And this season IS weird. They showed very little scenes of the beach. Nobody seems to be asking or wondering what happened with Michael and the kid. God, they even killed a character and their reactions are like "Ok, let's just bury him".

- Who's the girl we saw today (the one that saved Claire) ? For some reason I got the impression she was ben's daughter... and how did she know they were going to kill sawyer?

Beacuse Sawyer gave Danny **** ever since the biganing when they were captured. So danny wan't to take his anger out on him..

I know, I was wondering the same thing with mike and walt. and with eko, that was kind of odd.

That Girl is the french womans Daughter, who was kidnaped by the others 16 years ago. So, the others raised her. But I wouldn't be surprised if ben was the one that reasied her like his own child. Since Alex is with the others, I'm sure she found out some how, or saw her B/F body or something.

for all those who are complaining that they are about to switch off. switch off. -If you want to know what happened in the season and dont want to have to wait and watch the episodes, then watch the pre season opening episode!

It will quickly recap the season that has just passed in one hour.

Personally, I dont mind having to wait. it what they do to keep you locked in and it works. The style I find quite appealing and that is why I watch it.

Would you rather have every other week reruns? would you wanted to wait till january? or would you want the way we have it now? All 3 were considered by the team and i think the one they chose is the best. rewatch seasons 1 and 2 on DVD and season 3 on abc.com or itunes.

- Who's the girl we saw today (the one that saved Claire) ? For some reason I got the impression she was ben's daughter... and how did she know they were going to kill sawyer?

That's Ale(y)x, daughter of Danielle (the french woman). Back in S1 it was revealed that she was taken from Danielle during one of the Others' incursions onto the main island and Danielle hadn't seen her since. We have seen her working both with the others and against them; she was working with them when Michael was captured and also at the fake Others camp on the main island, and working against them this season, talking to Kate through the bushes and now demanding to speak to Ben with the slingshot.

Bu why the &*!$ did she seem to care so much about Ben? Is it too far-fetched to consider that Ben is perhaps her father (or other relation)?

And where has Danielle been all this time? I think she's one of the last wildcards in the show (her, the smoke monster, maybe: the Black Rock). As I recall we haven't seen Danielle since Ben got caught in one of her traps (many Wednesdays ago). How much does Danielle know about The Others? Does she know anything about their true identities? To what extent has she explored the island? Does she know of the other Dharma stations and what they do?

What's bugging me the most is the smoke monster. What the bloody hell is it? Recalling the blacklight map on the back of the blast door in the hatch (which was destroyed), there were several mentions of something called Cerberus, one of them occuring very close to the location of The Black Rock. Danielle said something about the area where the Black Rock was as being like a "quarantine zone" or "dark area" (I can't remember exactly) and it was there that Jack, Kate, Hurley and Locke first saw the smoke monster. Danielle said it was the "security system". The map made note of a "catastrophic malfunction of security system". Security system for the island itself? Security system for a certain part of the island? Security system for something else (like population control, psycological control, some other kind of control)? Security system at all?

More questions than answers, indeed.

Yeah, I know. But still, you dont plan on when your anger is going to kill someone. The way it was done, pre-meditated, but it still seemed so random to me...

What was up with Eko's whoop ass stick? "Lift your eyes and look north?". Do you think Eko found the other Island or something?

That's what I was thinking, maybe the alcatraz island is just off the very north of the island. Or there's something hidden in the north at any rate e.g. the arrow hatch, maybe housing the one-eyed man

i don't understand why jack didn't use ben as a hostage earlier when had a gun pointed at him... why wait till surgery?

kinda weak sauce in my opinion.

he had this plan all thought out, he knew they were gonna kill sawyer if he didnt do the surgery, so there was this plan....

Now, did she "officaly" pick sawyer? or is there more to the love trangle in february?

or maybe he is telling them to look at the north star to find their way, since compasses are getting disturbed by the magnetic field :boo:

Because if you already invested two years to a show you're kinda of committed even if it seems like its just going to end ugly

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
    • MSN defined our generation in some ways, kind of like Snapchat and TikTok have done for future generations. I have great memories of the MSN era in the late 90s / early 2000s. In the UK everyone seemed to come home from School and go on MSN for the evening. We didn't really have mobile phones then, so other than going and knocking on your friends door it was a totally new way of interacting with people. I also loved how I could talk to people I’d met playing online games from around the world. Inviting people to NetMeeting and messing about with the shared white board and webcams was pretty fun, even if webcams only ran at a couple of fps over dial-up. All the random things you could do with MsgPlus! were really fun - I suspect that made a few people jump with /shello randomly blasting Mr Hankey out their speakers! Maybe I’m just nostalgic, however I do feel the internet and computers were more fun back then.
