Lost - Season Three

Oh God. I hope this whole season is not about what happened when the hatch exploded. I don't think I can stand yet another season that revolves around the damn hatch. But obviously, if the hatch exploded in the last season finale, maybe we're going to learn what happened in the next one!!

I just came across this, I hope it wasn't posted already. It shows my growing frustration with the show - too many loose ends! I would really like to see some things resolved before introducing more mystery.

Ohhh, nice find! Not seen that before. It just makes me remember all those questions that have not been answered :pinch:.

It's an amazing storyline, I just hope there are reasons behind each "loose end" and the writers are not making stuff up as they go along!

No kidding, it actually reminded me of quite a few things that I had forgot were still hanging unanswered.

is anyone else really really ****ed off with this show? i mean, i watched all of season 1 and 2; eagerly awaited season 3 and have been sorely disappointed with the first episode and so have stopped watching it.

imean honestly, can anyone succinctly list the things that we now know from the end of s2 and where were are currently with s3?? what do we actually know after 2.5 (3?) seasons of the show with regard to the nature of the island, people on it and what is actually going on??

the answer?

sod all.

You just took the words out of my mouth.... this series is getting very very annoying...

While I'm still excited to see the show return and find out what Lost has in store for us, I won't argue one bit that I'm very disappointed that we haven't gotten more information than what we have.

All they're doing, in my opinion, is dragging the series out to get more seasons, which ultimately gets them more money. We can't necessarily put all the blame on the executive producers/writers (Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindalof for example), it is entirely possible that the ABC themselves are stepping in and telling them how much they can give away and how much they can't. In my opinion, this isn't coming from the writers, this is coming from the top of ABC. But that's just my opinion...

If someone doesn't turn things around with Lost though, the show is going deep six in a hurry. Going to go visit Davy Jones' Locker with Jack Sparrow. :p

Well, this is not new dude. Seems (I think I already said this) like they have an idea for season 1 and when they saw the ratings, the do one more season. As you can see one thing was season 1, something 'completaly' different was season 2 and now 3 seems like they want to do something different. Why this? Because is more RANDOM than Family Guy!. You cant predict what is next. Some (or many) people find this 'amazing', a few of us find this a way to make the show last more than the necessary.

Just look at that top50 list and you will see (to me is longer than 50)

I'm loving everything except the breaks.

I'm back people!!! :shifty:

Now lets get back into the groove...I think this long break in lost has actually made me forget about lost really...and when it returns I will probably get back into it but I think for me its all heroes...lol

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
    • MSN defined our generation in some ways, kind of like Snapchat and TikTok have done for future generations. I have great memories of the MSN era in the late 90s / early 2000s. In the UK everyone seemed to come home from School and go on MSN for the evening. We didn't really have mobile phones then, so other than going and knocking on your friends door it was a totally new way of interacting with people. I also loved how I could talk to people I’d met playing online games from around the world. Inviting people to NetMeeting and messing about with the shared white board and webcams was pretty fun, even if webcams only ran at a couple of fps over dial-up. All the random things you could do with MsgPlus! were really fun - I suspect that made a few people jump with /shello randomly blasting Mr Hankey out their speakers! Maybe I’m just nostalgic, however I do feel the internet and computers were more fun back then.
