More than we got in season two by this time, I thought they would have learned their lesson about not giving us enough answers because the ratings were drop from episode to episode just like this season. But instead they're repeating the same mistakes. I'm not saying they have to give us every answer right now, but for instance, instead of introducing those two new characters at the end of The Cost of Living (I believe) they could have actually done something useful with that time. It was completely pointless just like Sawyer coming out of the jungle in season two stating he's the new "sheriff".

What a colossal waist of time some of the crap they throw at us.

they cut a lot of scens this season, like kate cring with the handcuffs, clare catching niki and palubo haveing sex in jacks tent.... even some that i'm missing was cut. and those would have made season 3 shine......

The sheriff episode as well as the Charlie-centric episode where Locke punched him (both season 2) were wasted episodes imho. It hardly progressed the story at all. I felt that Season 2 moved so slow because there was so much "filler" stuff without moving into the better stories until the end.

One of the biggest problems I'm having now with Lost is that they still dedicate so much time to flashbacks. I was kinda hoping that they would cut back on this, but it seems they're still going strong with focusing on back stories as much as the current ones. But hey, half of the goodness of Lost are flashbacks, and with new characters being introduced, we can now expect to see flashbacks for different people. There's supposed to be a flashback story about Libby; I sure as heck hope this isn't an episode dedicated to Libby... she's dead, now move on!

With regards to how much of the current story is actually told, theoretically, we would be into Season 5's content now with what we could learn about the island, the others, etc... but then we'd have no flash backs at all. Ah well.

Thanks to both!

oh. I was wondering if he really has that tattoo or is just for the show and is just drawn

no its real.He was wondeing after he was cast if he needed it covered up, they were but they then decided to have those tattoos part of jacks story line.

Anyone else heard this?

THE SKINNY: LOST fan sites have been buzzing recently with rumors of the demise of Matthew Fox's character, Dr. Jack Shephard. They weren't helped by a comment made to E! Online by the show's creator and executive producer, Damon Lindelof. "This is the most insane rumor regarding LOST to date," Lindelof told the site. "The fact that you think we might do it is incredibly flattering."

The answer doesn't exactly sound like a flat denial, and when combined with other recent spoilers of a shooting on the beach, plus the fact that Fox has a major film coming out (WE ARE MARSHALL), the future doesn't look so hot for the good doctor. Fans will have to wait until February to find out for sure, when LOST returns for the second half of its third season.

i dont know, but im loosing interest in lost, i feel like the shows going nowhere, and the pace is too slow. then there are the waits, i just hope its feburary soon, but the rumors arent doing anything for me.

This season seems to be progressing a little better than last seasons. There were way too many dull moments last season, too much emphasis at times on a flashback. We'll see what happens when the break is over. I'm still very much interested, but not as much as I was when I was finished with Season 1.

Found this on a lost group on my space...

Article from Variety magazine ......

"ABC is moving "Lost" out of the way of the "American Idol" juggernaut.

Alphabet's January sked, set to be unveiled later today, has "Lost" moving to Wednesdays at 10 when it returns Feb. 7, insiders said. Shift ensures the third-year skein won't have to battle the Fox behemoth.

A year ago, "Lost" took a notable ratings hit once "Idol" returned. Skein has held steady in the ratings this fall vs. last spring, but ABC execs clearly don't want to take the chance of further slippage.

Net's affils should be happy with the shift. With "Lost" at 10 p.m., ABC will be delivering local stations their best numbers for the slot in years.

ABC isn't completely backing away from "Idol," however.

Net has decided to slot its buzzworthy laffer "Knights of Prosperity" Wednesdays at 9 p.m., directly against the "Idol" results show. It'll be paired at 9:30 with another new comedy, "In Case of Emergency."

hmmm 10 PM? Hope its not true...

It is true. And I'm glad this is happening. There's no way Lost can stand up to American Idol and there's no point trying it again and taking another huge hit in ratings. When people stop watching a show to watch another, then advertisers stop making money, and when they don't make money neither does ABC, which means they cancel Lost. No one wants that do they?
