You didn't miss anything actually. We weren't not given the answer why they beat him, so I assume it has something to do with the fact that he's an outsider to Chet's country and that Achara is only suppose to tattoo fellow Phukets. But I could be wrong...

It was because of the tattoo she warned Jack that if she gave him the tattoo he wanted they wouldn't approve and they didn't even the boy with the beers shunned him...they told him he wasnt wanted and to leave Thailand.

I loved last nights episode it was more my kind of episode... so much new info as well.

I completely agree, and surprisingly enough some of my friends who had been critical of lost recently loved the ep. They were there to watch the trial I think? Other than that I couldn't really speak to it. I loved how he completly told the 'sheriff' at the end of the episode about his tattoo. I think it may end up meaning something about Jack becoming the leader of the others, perhaps 'merging the tribes' so to speak. Just something that struck me.

What I really liked about the episode was that it was a huge character building episode, it also leads me to belive that perhaps there is a fair amount of brainwashing going on within the others camp. I mean Juliet was perfectly normal before hitting the island, and up untill the past ep or so she was a stone cold killer. Now Jacks kindness and whatnot have started to warm her up. I really liked the part where she was almost touching his hand when he was trying to fix up her burns. I would love to see Juliet and Jack hook up as well because unlike most shows they are letting her (if this is what is happening) change slowly, as opposed to the office where characters just completely change at the whim of the writers for storyline convenience (ie Jim's girlfriend).

All in all I really liked the ep, as it really went back to first season form in that it didn't try to do too much, but there was a lot of good character development.

Omg are you insane!! 45 minutes to explain Jacks tatoo! what else happened?

AWFUL AWFUL episode!!! I'm about done with caring about this show i see more happening on the soaps when the girlfriends controlling the tv :(

Yeah last episode was dumb.. I am losing more and more faith in this show. It keeps going into other stories and it seems like its just buying time. I mean whole episode just to say what that tatoo means.... Come oooon... and then as always they introduce another ten thousand questions, like who the hell was that asian woman. SHe said her special gift is to read people for who they are, and she said that Jack is born to be a leader... bla, bla, bla... does that mean that Ben will die and he'll take over the leadership of the others. Then whats up with the kid I mean Kate started asking him questions and then she just stoped. Why the hell she did not keep asking whats the purpose of the others and their research? She asked him if they live on this island and he said yes and that was it. Dont you think that she and Sawyer would have been a bit more curious and asked him some more questions? Or the purpose of this show is to keep the viewers totally clueless while the producers buy some more and more air time with meaningless plots that often lose track from the original story and from the already ongoing plot.... Also whats up with that woman and the little kids and the rest of those people staring at Jack like they are in the zoo and he is the freakin animal??? Anyhow I am not expecting much from the next episode... I bet that this will be the last season of lost.

Anyone else think Achara was really good looking?

Yep

I personally didn't care for this episode as much. It could be because I was sorta frustrated at life when I watched the episode, but...3 questions answered MY ASS. I thought it raised MORE questions:

-Where are The Others going?

-What did they do to the kids who were taken...really?

-What was that mark on Juliette all about?

-Why did they beat the hell out of Jack just for some tatoos?

I think The Others are going back to the main island to their little town. The one we saw in the S3 premiere. I think that camp is mostly reserved for the workers since the plane crashed (where Carl and Ale[y]x "lived")...or maybe now that's where they all live and they just go over to the little island for "work". I don't know. It's an interesting point about the connection between Jack's tatoos and where he finds himself in terms of The Others now...

As you said they are going to where Ben calls home which is Otherville or the village in the hills...and some of the pictures I have seen from filming of recent episodes they would confirm that.

Just watched it now, average episode. More questions arise again! Pretty sure Cindy will be back again, anyone notice when Cindy and the Kids went of they were holding the teddy bear, the same one that Jin and Eko saw back in season 2.

The episode was ok, nothing like last weeks episode. I didn't watch any promos so i didn't know what was going to happen which probably helped. I would have like more of an explanation about the kids and Cindy (is that her name?).

Oh was the 'sherrif' the same woman as one on Prison Break?

It really seemed to build on some character relationships. I personally think Jack is suited to Juliet, just as Kate is suited to Sawyer.

Brilliant episode, enjoyed it a lot more than last weeks.

I completely agree here, it was a really well written episode that marked huge changes in the characters involved. I loved the hands almost touching part, it reminds me of the beginning of relationships when you are still a bit nervous and kind of put your hands close hoping they will touch etc. Just a small touch I liked. I was also interested to see how much Alex actually cares about Ben.

Rubbish Episode :(

Thing is, I've invested too much time into it to stop watching now.

The thing is man, its just TV, you can stop anytime. TV just isn't that important... If you really want to continue watching, why not just wait till season 3 is over and download/buy it?

yeah she was the woman in that house they kidnapped when digging up the money!

That's where I remember her from! She was flirting with T-Bag so that she could hook up with Linc. It's all coming together now... :shifty:

    • Microsoft will soon allow some users to block Copilot from analyzing their Office files by Usama Jawad Microsoft Purview is a pretty useful data governance, security, and management service that allows customers to gain enhanced visibility and control over their content. It's meant for commercial customers, such as organizations that are storing data at scale. As AI continues to expand and infiltrate every corner of a firm, many are a bit conscious about the technology gaining access to their confidential data. Microsoft is now making a configuration change that will allow such customers to rest easy. Right now, users within an organization have the option to apply Purview sensitivity labels (when available) to secure certain files and label them as such. For example, if you apply the "Confidential" label on an Excel file, the file will be encrypted, and a "confidential" watermark will be applied to it. So, if this file is shared with anyone, they are aware that its access is supposed to be restricted. Up until now, Microsoft was allowing some connected experiences, like its AI services, to analyze files, regardless of their sensitivity label. This is of major concern to most organizations, as a recent example highlighted how confidential emails with data loss prevention (DLP) policies like privacy labels were being uploaded to Copilot for analysis. As such, Microsoft is updating an existing Purview data label sensitivity setting that prevents "some connected experiences that analyze content", from being blocked completely from doing this. The label isn't changing, but the blocking is now being enforced across all connected services (including Copilot and other AI tools), and now extends to Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Files with the label applied already will get this enhancement automatically too once it becomes available. Microsoft has urged IT admins to inform their respective helpdesk and compliance teams, update internal documentation, and review sensitivity labels to ensure that they meet their respective compliance needs. This change is tagged as MC1297982 in the Message Center. General availability is scheduled to begin in a phased manner soon and will complete by the end of next month. That said, it is important to note that this only applies to commercial customers who have a license that allows them to use Purview.

    • All versions is correct. The bug appears on any version of Windows with KB5094126 installed. It's a little insane to expect the author to explain that systems that can't possibly have that patch installed, will not experience the bug. If you have any gripe about the title, it would be that it doesn't mention the update at all, but I wouldn't agree with that either. A title is not expected to be a full summery of the article.
