Lost - Season Three

Is it safe to presume that the drug Juliet was testing is the same one that Claire was injected with?

I think they were different. The drug that Juliet gave her sister was to get her pregnant I believe. The drug that Ethan injected Claire with is suppose to protect against some disease. But we really don't know enough now to assume what is right and what is wrong.

Why did Isobel or whatever the sheriff was called say 'Chinese can be a very confusing langauge' or something when she was talking about Jack's tattoo?

They don't speak Chinese in Thailand so why the hell would a Thai tattoo artist have put Chinese language on him?

It was nice to see the kids again, I had been wondering if we would ever see them again.

^^ Same thing here... Thai != Chineese

Anyway, I don't get why they had to show 30 minutes of Jack getting it on with a Thai slut just to explain the tatoo.

For those of you that said that it was important to show us Sawyer + AL & then Sawyer + Kate for "character development," why do we need to see Jack having sex with everyone in his past?!

I liked the on-island character development, but I don't like to see that ABC is resorting to cheap methods to get people to watch.

(That's why I loved the X-Files. REAL shows, REAL characters, no cheap sex shots every other episode.... Compare that to CSI, L&O, etc. where every five minutes they're stopping by a night-club and they just HAVE to show you the pole girls & **** to make that episode more "deep"

Thank god for things like Monk, Without a Trace, and until now, LOST)

I'm pretty sure those 4 symbols on his arm are not Thai.

Well AFAIK, that is a real tattoo that Matthew Fox has on his arm and the writers tried to work it into the show. It more than likely is Chinese or Japanese. Either way, as tattoo's go, it's a cool one. I was just ****ed that they didn't explain the rest of it.

Amendment:

It is a tattoo that Matthew Fox had before the show. The characters at the bottom are Chinese and are from a poem by Mao Zedong.

We now have another problem, the characters do not literally translate to 'He walks among us, but is not one of us' as Isobel said, they literally mean: Eagles high, cleaving sky.

This is kinda pure speculation, but Charlie won't die: Des will figure it out/beat the "game."

I mean, look at this way: If Charlie WAS going to die, would ABC tell us this outright? Would there be a point to the entire Des-Charlie convo in that episode? The only reason it's there is because Des will (rather f**ing unfortunately) save Charlie....

My 2cents anyway..

Where'd the quick reply button go???

Quick Reply is still working here :)

I really hope they find a way to rid us of Charlie...he's becoming like a Mr Eko to me...just really pointless but then alot of the characters we don't see for weeks/months on end could disappear and we wouldn't care..

I wouldn't exactly call Charlie a pointless character. He's definitely there to **** us off and annoy us. Seriously, though, I don't hate him so much lately and I really liked him before the second season.

Now that I think about it, I think that's the main reason people are disappointed with Lost as of late (including me) - the writers didn't leave us many characters to like. First Kate became annoying and then for some reason Locke, too, and then we were fed up with Jack and I knew it was over. The characters of course have redeemed themselves somewhat, but it just doesn't feel like the Losties you loved, anymore. If they make me hate Hurley, I might just stop watching *lies to himself*.

While I didn't find the last episode very intriguing, I'm still glad we're getting answers every week. I think this series is almost begging for cliffhangers, though, as much as I don't like them. I still haven't felt the magic of the first season, and that's really important to me since that's what made me get back into watching TV series in the first place. I couldn't imagine watching the first season and waiting a week to see the next episode, but I would've gladly done so. Here's to hoping we all can't go without missing any episodes after next week's.

By the way, this message was brought to you by Quick Reply.
