Lost - Season Three

Excellent episode. It was the reason why i love lost.

great episode.. and finally the John Locke mystery has been revealed!

Sort of, we still don't know technically why he's walking right now.

The box was a metaphor, I would consider it to be the essence or the "core" of the island's power. I think it would be to easy to think the smoke monster came out of the "box". Locke said he saw something beautiful when he saw the monster, Maybe the island "chose" Locke somehow. And Maybe Ben wants him to learn to control the smoke monster and the islands power somehow.

Somehow I am also not very interested in Locke's flashback. He said he was in the Army/Marine, is that true.... that might be a better flashback!!

The Jack-Others thing are MORE interesting, IMO

"For all you know I could have been a sub commander in the navy"

Then Ben goes onto say, "Oh I know all about you John..."

Do you have these types of problems in understanding communication in general, day-to-day life?

I loved tonights episode. Here's what I think...

I don't think Locke blew up the Submarine. When he was walking back and got caught, he was completely soaked as if he had been swimming. I think he drove the Submarine somewhere else and made it look like he blew it up.

yes...because its that easy.....

1. how would he know how to control a sub?

2. even if he did i'm fairly sure you need more than one person in a sub to operate everything....

3.

That was a fantastic episode, loved every minute of it.

It occurred to me when Ben mentioned the box, didn't Walt say something about a box in season 1. Telling Locke not to open it or was that the hatch? I swear box has been mentioned before.

Also Alex thinks her mom is dead, to her she thinks that Ben is her biological father but after Sayid spoke to her she must have some doubt now and the others are covering something up about that.

Yeah there was no way they could wrap everything up by the end of season 3, too many loose ends.

If they tried that, there would be just an episode or two saying "ok here is mystery 1, and heres the answer, here is mystery 2 and heres the answer to that..... " etc...

Bring on Season 4 :D

There would be atleast 5 seasons, and possibly even season 6.

The thing that was in the box in my opinion was the smoke monster thing. Thats why it showed locke his dad, also, why ben said it could be anything you want.

Interesting theory. Plausible, since Ben said box gives whatever you want.

Locke has always been my favourite char. He signifies what I like about LOST - mystery. Locke centric episodes are generally superb, like this one was. This one was as good as it gets ( In Chandler Bings words : Could it be more better ).

The ending was truely WTF.

And wtf is happening in the promo?

Sun getting nasty! Is someone slated to die?

I don't think Locke blew up the Submarine. When he was walking back and got caught, he was completely soaked as if he had been swimming. I think he drove the Submarine somewhere else and made it look like he blew it up.

He was probably wet because he likely set the explosives on the outside of the submarine.

The submarine wasn't visible in that last fram though, was it? I looked back at the video and I could not see the submarine when they tell Locke to get down on his knees. Maybe I just can't see it. The small white dot next to the door just seems to be a reflection of moonlight, I do not see the sub in its place as it was before.

Oh, and I forgot. I almost die laughing when Ben (with his best Mac and Me face) say to Locke "We have a box here". LMAO. What a cheap trick. This sounds like that Family Guy ep, where Peter has to choose between a "box" and a boat.

Oh, btw, yet another explosion!. This is getting like any Chuck Norris movies. Jungle and explosions!. "Perfect!"

"For all you know I could have been a sub commander in the navy"

It was a One time viewing, I didn't pay attention, I just heard bits & parts.

Yes.

Hmm.. since next episode if about

Nikki and Paulo, I guess it would be one of those two.

Expos?>

As the truth about Sun's kidnapping by "the Others" comes to her attention, Hurley becomes suspicious of Sawyer's attempt to reveal the mystery behind two fellow survivors, Nikki and Paulo. Through series of flashbacks we will discover what Nikki and Paulo were doing before the crash and how they survived 65 days on the island.

wow, that was an amazing episode.

I like how it shows the Others as not being so omniscient after all. I reckon Alex will free Sayid and Kate whilst trying to find out about her mother, and that Juliet will turn on the others, thinking that Ben orchestrated the submarine explosion (which he kind of did).

this show is really starting to disappoint me. I feel like

they're pulling farfetchd plot twists out of their ass

, just to extend the series. since ratings are down, what might end up happening is that corporate sponsors and ABC are going to force the writers to end the series in like 1/2 season.

    • Windows 11 KB5094126, KB5093998 bugging out Office apps but it may not be Microsoft's fault by Sayan Sen Microsoft last week released Windows 11 KB5094126 and KB5093998 as the latest Patch Tuesday updates. Following that the company also published the accompanying dynamic updates under KB5094149, KB5095971, and KB5094156. Although the tech giant did not acknowledge any major problems, some users online reported various issues ranging from OneDrive and Dropbox access problems, BitLocker recovery lockouts, to blue screens and BSODs. You can read about them in this dedicated piece. While there is still no confirmation about those problems from Microsoft the company has admitted to another bug which we did not report on. The tech giant has confirmed it has received reports of an issue in which certain third-party applications may be unable to launch Microsoft Office apps or open Office documents after installing the Patch Tuesday. This affects both Windows 11 as well as Windows 10. The company says the problem impacts a subset of applications that rely on OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) automation to communicate with Microsoft Office programs. According to Microsoft, affected scenarios involve third-party software attempting to open Office applications or documents from within their own interface. In such cases, the Office program may fail to launch altogether, or the requested document may not open. Oddly there may not be any error message, which probably makes the issue difficult to diagnose. The bug affects several Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and other apps in the Microsoft Office suite when they are launched through the affected software. These include tax and accounting software such as CCH Engagement and Workpaper Manager, dental practice management solutions like Dentrix and Softdent, as well as the popular research and reference management tool Zotero. Microsoft adds that other applications using similar Office integration methods could also experience the same problematic behavior. To understand the issue it is important to look at OLE, the Microsoft technology involved. OLE allows different applications to work together and share data, while its Automation feature lets one program control another. Thus this enables third-party software to launch Microsoft Office apps, open documents, and perform tasks automatically without requiring users to switch between programs. Because many accounting, healthcare, research, and business applications rely on OLE automation to interact with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office apps, any disruption can break those workflows. As a result, affected software may be unable to open Office documents or launch Office applications even though the programs themselves continue to work normally. At the moment the company has not provided a permanent fix though it has confirmed that engineers are actively working on a resolution, which will be delivered through a future Windows update. As such additional details will be shared once more information becomes available. In the meantime, Microsoft recommends a simple workaround for affected users whic is to open the Office application or document directly rather than launching it through the third-party program. For enterprise customers and organizations managing larger deployments, Microsoft says an additional mitigation is available. Admins experiencing the problem on their managed devices are advised to contact Microsoft Support for business to obtain and apply the workaround.
