Lost - Season Three

What I find interesting is that, at the same time, the island is making all the men incredibly fertile, yet killing the women once they get pregnant. It's like a "have sex and die" trap.

Yeah it seems the Island gives then takes away...weird

I think the episodes are gonna get awesome now...:D

Juliet got laid? When? I don't recall... Plus, she'd know better.

BIG QUESTION:

Juliet tells Ben she has Sun's "sample".

SAMPLE WHAT!?

She took an ultrasound, not a pregnancy test, no physical exam, nothing. So what is this sample?

Goodwin for the first question supposedly. Dunno about the other questions

Yep as Peewee said Goodwin is the man she had sex with...as for the other things...god knows...maybe a hair or something...this also leads into Kate being pregnant...

A scene in Juliet's flashback showed her naked in bed with Goodwin. It's implied that they were sleeping together, or had a one night stand.

I'd prefer to check a transcript, but I don't think Juliet says she "has" Sun's sample, does she? My thought was that Juliet was referring to Sun's baby as a 'sample'. In medicine and science research, whatever you're testing is called the 'sample'. Seems odd for a fertility doc, but it was all I could think of, seeing as how she didn't collect anything from Sun.

can't sun have an abortion to stop her dying? or would that not work, they just didnt discuss it in the episode at all.

and how come naomi can speak so many languages? portugese, chinese and italian (hurley also said she was speaking spanish but he might have just got it confused with the portugese)

pregnancy island... where dharma control even the accidents and make them real to the rest of the world. They create a fake accident just to take and keep the real ppl on the island. Come on...

EDIT

@Computer Guru, something you dont know (yet) is that Chuck Norris is hidden in that island

Just a refresh, Juliet got laid on the island, so did Kate. Are they or will they be pregnant? Questionable statement.

Juliet and that dude could have been using a condom (She was aware of the risks of pregnancy on the island after all). And as for Sawyer/Kate....How can I put this nicely, the old "Pull out before"? :p

what about " that cant be, the plane was found, there was no survivors, everyone died. " * dun dun dun da dun dunn duun da dun* wait thats eastenders theme....

Is this another darma thing?

It is probably a staged thing tho as I said before...Ben asked Mikail to get details when the plane crashed so if thats the case they didn't stage it but then again they might of taken some wreckage somewhere shoved some dead people in there and said thats 815...random as it seems that was a revelation!!!

Peewee :

Kates becoming the Island ######

let me just put a spoiler around this whole thing..

kate screws sawyer.. AGAIN.. meaning jack and juliet might hook up.. or jack dies as people stated. Locke wants sawyer to kill ben BUT.. bens flashback is the episode after that.. i thought ben was the season finale? If jack is the season finale.. does that mean he's going to die?

also.. where did the "Dharma" flashback go?

let me just put a spoiler around this whole thing..

Dharma episode is week after...

As for the killing its Anthony Cooper he asks to kill I think...the preview said a common nemesis which would be that seeing that Locke's dad could well be the original Sawyer

Jack and Juliet - Might do but if they do Juliet doesn't want to die (dunno if there was Dharma condoms from that pallet

Locke, Sawyer Ben - No, he is lieing. He has kidnapped Cooper and told Sawyer it was Ben so he could kill him

Ben season finale - It was originally, but now changed to episode 20

Dharma flashback - I think Dharma will be little explained in the Ben flashback but not fully

Hurley speaks Spanish, so I don't think he'd confuse it with Portuguese.

From Kristin...

I took the purgatory Q to the one and only Damon Lindelof (who is still da bomb in my book, in case you were wondering), and he shot back the following:

The following two facts are true. I swear it.

A. They're not in purgatory.

B. They're not dead.

If we did such a thing after repeatedly stating otherwise, we'd be tarred and feathered!

I'm glad we finally got to meet the guy with the eye-patch! What a great episode! I loved the back-story of Sayid in Paris. A real moving episode, and the ping-pong match was great for some light-heartedness! Instead of the ending that happened (I don't want to post any spoilers) I think they should of spread it out over a couple of episodes. It seemed like they were running out of time in the episode, and decided to wrap things-up too quickly.

Did anyone translate that Russian?

^Did you just watched the past 6 episodes all toghether or something?

I don't live in the states, that's the newest episode that aired last night. I'm on 56k, so I can't download it from iTunes or anything.

I can't wait until next weeks episode! Where is Sayid going to take the eye-patch Russian?!

    • Same Internet Archive seemed to grab the new version https://web.archive.org/web/20...d/Setup_MakeMKV_v1.18.4.exe Here's the link to an additional file it periodically downloads https://web.archive.org/web/20260213092148/https://www.makemkv.com/sdf.bin I think update's keys, etc. To manually trigger this update, put the sdf.bin file in the root of where the program is installed. When you launch the program it will pick up the file and import it. Typically put it here: C:\Program Files (x86)\MakeMKV\sdf.bin
    • Windows 11 KB5094126, KB5093998 bugging out Office apps but it may not be Microsoft's fault by Sayan Sen Microsoft last week released Windows 11 KB5094126 and KB5093998 as the latest Patch Tuesday updates. Following that the company also published the accompanying dynamic updates under KB5094149, KB5095971, and KB5094156. Although the tech giant did not acknowledge any major problems, some users online reported various issues ranging from OneDrive and Dropbox access problems, BitLocker recovery lockouts, to blue screens and BSODs. You can read about them in this dedicated piece. While there is still no confirmation about those problems from Microsoft the company has admitted to another bug which we did not report on. The tech giant has confirmed it has received reports of an issue in which certain third-party applications may be unable to launch Microsoft Office apps or open Office documents after installing the Patch Tuesday. This affects both Windows 11 as well as Windows 10. The company says the problem impacts a subset of applications that rely on OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) automation to communicate with Microsoft Office programs. According to Microsoft, affected scenarios involve third-party software attempting to open Office applications or documents from within their own interface. In such cases, the Office program may fail to launch altogether, or the requested document may not open. Oddly there may not be any error message, which probably makes the issue difficult to diagnose. The bug affects several Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and other apps in the Microsoft Office suite when they are launched through the affected software. These include tax and accounting software such as CCH Engagement and Workpaper Manager, dental practice management solutions like Dentrix and Softdent, as well as the popular research and reference management tool Zotero. Microsoft adds that other applications using similar Office integration methods could also experience the same problematic behavior. To understand the issue it is important to look at OLE, the Microsoft technology involved. OLE allows different applications to work together and share data, while its Automation feature lets one program control another. Thus this enables third-party software to launch Microsoft Office apps, open documents, and perform tasks automatically without requiring users to switch between programs. Because many accounting, healthcare, research, and business applications rely on OLE automation to interact with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office apps, any disruption can break those workflows. As a result, affected software may be unable to open Office documents or launch Office applications even though the programs themselves continue to work normally. At the moment the company has not provided a permanent fix though it has confirmed that engineers are actively working on a resolution, which will be delivered through a future Windows update. As such additional details will be shared once more information becomes available. In the meantime, Microsoft recommends a simple workaround for affected users whic is to open the Office application or document directly rather than launching it through the third-party program. For enterprise customers and organizations managing larger deployments, Microsoft says an additional mitigation is available. Admins experiencing the problem on their managed devices are advised to contact Microsoft Support for business to obtain and apply the workaround.
