Lost - Season Three

I have wondered why Jack was the only one to end up in the jungle after the crash. I brushed it off as a script error... him coming out of the jungle and slowly learning what happened is more dramatic than just waking up on the beach.

I think that could be a bit a both really, maybe he was dragged by one of the others? Goodwin arrived at the tail section very quickly but we know it took Ethan longer. I agree with you there Hurmoth, running out of a jungle to beach and seeing what happened it a bit more dramatic.

bernard was in a seat up in a tree somewhere in the jungle

Just thought of this intreastng info:

in 1x20 Boone died. In 2x20 Anna Lucia and Libby, and 3x21 is the charle one. and the rumors of his

death

now take a look at a pattern, so far in the series, major deaths had happen around the 20th epsode of the season.

kind of strange.....

and it's also good to know how long they been here. 3 months, just a few more days, and it will be christmis. i heard on their podcast, season 4 will feature the christmis. but if we are on 3x19 now, and this will start day 91, December 23rd 2004, in 2 more days it will be christmis, and that might tie in the finale...

not a huge deal, just a thought..

There were two things that really stand out in this episode. (1) I really enjoyed the poke at those who believe this is purgatory and (2) I am really annoyed that Jack can't understand why he isn't trusted. Kate is trying to explain to him and he still withholds information from Kate. "We should tell her." "No."

Oh an next week, that's going to be awesome when Sawyer returns with the recorder, I can't wait to see what Jack does about that.

Great episode. Do we learn about Dharma next week?

Next week is a Ben centric episode, so yes.

You didn't? ... I don't know what to say about that ... It was pretty obvious.

Yeah I thought that way back when we first saw what Anthony did to Locke. In one of those early episodes Locke even reacts funny when questioning Sawyer about his real name and why he chose Sawyer as a nickname.

Excellent episode. I totally did not see Locke's dad being the original Sawyer, nice twist!

It's shaping up to be one heck of a finale, that's for sure!

Yeah I also thought this out way back in Season 1...I agree tho the finale is gonna be good. :D

OMFG!!! PROMO for next week and boy does this look awesome!!!...theres also some screen caps right here!!!

Jack is really is a FOOL for not wanting Kate and all, but I mean, I think Juliet is a GOOD person and Jack sees that. The other people don't trust her, but as far as I see, she means nobody any harm!

The writing of Jack gets on my nerves! I don't know where the writers intent to go with him, but I hope it better end up good, cuz I like this guy. I don't like Sawyer so much, yet writers got him to **** Kate like what, 3-4 times(?) already!

However, given the context of things, I think Sawyer is now better.

Very good episode! Extremely predictable though :/ (except that Locke's dad thought they were in Hell, I thought he actually knew something)

BTW, the fact that he was taken to the island by the others re-emphasizes (along with the faked plane crash) how big of a "conspiracy" the whole "operation" really is ;)

2. Yep, agree.

More will happen before Sawyer returns. Will he return in time? dum dum dum

Sawyer is my favourite so :p Jack won't go bad. You can quote me on that if he does though.

Awesome episode.

Set it up very nicely for next week.

Locke episode are generally very good.

Hey, how many of shots from the trailers are from the Season Finale? Any?

I think its only from the next episode.

Ben gives me the creeps.

ABC once again invites new and avid “Lost” viewers to take another look at one of the most talked about and critically acclaimed shows. “Lost: The Answers” will explore the series in a way that will bring new viewers up to date -- but which current viewers will also find illuminating – in anticipation of the Season Finale episode. The special will take an in-depth look at the mysteries of both the island and its inhabitants and recap the secrets that have been revealed, as well as those that remain unanswered.

Hosted by “Lost” executive producers Damon Lindelof (also a co-creator of the show) and Carlton Cuse, the special will revisit mysteries that have been solved, including why a polar bear is on an island in the South Pacific, who the real father of Sun’s baby is, what caused the crash of Oceanic flight 815, who was in the hatch, what happened to the Dharma group, how Locke ended up in a wheelchair, what Kate did to become one of America’s most wanted, and the identity of the real Sawyer -- who conned James Ford’s parents – leading to their deaths. In addition, mysteries that remain unsolved will also be explored.

Airs: 17th May Thursday 2007 - 10:00 p.m.

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
    • MSN defined our generation in some ways, kind of like Snapchat and TikTok have done for future generations. I have great memories of the MSN era in the late 90s / early 2000s. In the UK everyone seemed to come home from School and go on MSN for the evening. We didn't really have mobile phones then, so other than going and knocking on your friends door it was a totally new way of interacting with people. I also loved how I could talk to people I’d met playing online games from around the world. Inviting people to NetMeeting and messing about with the shared white board and webcams was pretty fun, even if webcams only ran at a couple of fps over dial-up. All the random things you could do with MsgPlus! were really fun - I suspect that made a few people jump with /shello randomly blasting Mr Hankey out their speakers! Maybe I’m just nostalgic, however I do feel the internet and computers were more fun back then.
