Lost - Season Three

Recommended Posts

I did hear in a past podcast something about a college season. a college season would be season 5.

You think 3 seasons is a bit much..... you got to be kidding me  not even season 1 had any answers answerd. I thnk 5 seasons would be great, but it all depends on what season 4 will feature and the main plots for it will be about.

Also, Alias was only 5 seasons, and that show was made by the same people that made lost.

Also, Alias was only 5 seasons, and that show was made by the same people that made lost.

Well, what scares me is that Alias season 4 sucked hard! ;)

I'm hoping they do a good job wrapping things up in two more seasons. I'm glad they have a definitive end date!

i think they should of wrapped it up in season 2 but 5 is too much?

It would been hard to wrap up in 2 seeing as half way through Season 2 there was many questions being raised like "Who was Dharma"..."Why is the button pushing important"....all those things were raised and then further investigated later on...5 seasons seems just right imo...

Two season for a show is dumb imo. In regards to Prison Break, the premise of the show was based on a short plot that the producers didn't seem to plan well for. If done right PB could've gone three seasons without much of the milking that has been done. For Lost, there's just no way. Four seasons minimum with as much story, questions, answers, etc that the show has. It has far too much going for it to be cut so short. Basically, for those saying it should've ended in two or three seasons, I'm glad you aren't the decision makers ;)

the difference is that all of the X-files filler episodes ruled! plus i also read somewhere that he said that if the rating for the last season weren't so bad, he'd have carried on making more seasons.

Yeah, long live 10-13 productions :p

Season 7 was the worst, so much comedy! But then they slightly redeemed themselves with 8 and 9. You're right, CC said he expected it to go on for another 10 years at least (!), but the two new agents (not even worth naming :p) didn't have the "appeal" of Mulder and Scully.

I'm sure if Mulder didn't get into a row with Fox over pay it would have been better.

Stupid asses @ Fox: they let their biggest attraction go! He was named after them too!

W/E

Just looking for a show that can fill that void - I can't see anything on TV now actually reaching the same level as X-Files. Lost is great, but the way it is, there's only so many questions and so many answers. With X-Files, the entire point of the show was just how many mysteries and layers there were. And CC was very very intelligent with way he revealed answers. Never seemed like they were just holding back on the answers for the hell of it.

Some Spoiler from NOTW...

I CAN exclusively reveal that Dominic Monaghan will be on permanent shore leave from the brilliant Lost Island. He'll be one of FIVE characters killed off in an explosive confrontation between the original castaways and those freaky Others.

Lord Of The Rings Star Dom, who plays druggie musician Charlie, hopes Lost will help him find his way back into movies again.

Don't miss tonight's show (10pm, Sky One), especially if you're a fan of Locke or Sawyer-it's a cracker."

hmmm this seems intresting

well for anyone has who hasnt seen that episode yet.

if they call that one a cracker i cant imagine what they will say about the following episode i think it is going to be so amazing. unfortunately, with expectations so high its hard to imagine them being met. i think thats one of the reasons i liked the nikki/paulo episode so much because it was so much better than i was expecting.

Is this next one (this week, USA) the season finale? or the one after it?

(Sorry, I don't live in the USA, so I don't see the commercials)

No its the one after that. 3 episodes left (Including the finale)

Yeah they better do a Lost Experience in the summer...

But those things are so stupid, they never tell you anything. :\

Edit: Are you talking about the game.. or those recap episodes?

Do you reckon the are all dead and in "hell" ? coz from latest ep thats what im getting? how could they find a plane and the bodies? and everything heal fast?

Definitely not. Someone is lieing, the question is, was it Dharma with their trickery or the black girl.

wow sawyer met sawyer :p lol

The executive producers have said numerous times that they are not dead, nor are they in purgatory.

Last years lost experience was awesome having to run around London looking clues made you feel part of the game not just that we learnt about Hanso and Paik Industries...it was worth while I think.

Think about it: It wouldn't make sense for them to be dead and yet a living person finds them, while they're dead, and yet they're alive and talking to an outsider that was alive and not on the plane. The same could be said about Desmond, he wasn't on the plane, and there was nothing that we saw that would have him being dead. There's something else to it than all being dead.

the biggest nail in the losties being dead theory is that several people have died on the island, which is hard to do if you're already dead

Lost to end in 2010

Thanks to Doc Jensen for the heads up. USAToday has reported that LOST will end in 2010 after three more sixteen episode seasons. And yes, to answer the first question that came to your mind, this does mean longer hiatuses. Here comes the details.

The end is in sight for ABC's acclaimed island mystery Lost, but fans will have to wait until 2010 for all the answers.

In a highly unusual move, the network announces plans today to end the show after three more shortened seasons of 16 episodes each. The episodes will air consecutively, repeat-free, from February to May.

ABC's bold step marks a response to the show's producers, who have been eager to set a finish line to better plot out their convoluted mystery of plane-crash survivors and to placate fans who are frustrated that the show seemed to be vamping its way to a conclusion. That's four on, eight off for those keeping track.

Personally, i am disliking this at the moment.

    • Dead on arrival at that price. Like they missed the mark by multiple hundreds of dollars - this should actually undercut the Macbook Air at $899 if they want any sort of sales / further adoption of WoA
    • Wow, 50% increase for the base model. That's steep!
    • A group made up of dozens of cybersecurity experts, including several well-known veterans of the industry, published an open letter to the U.S. government asking it to lift the export control order on Anthropic’s Fable and Mythos models. According to the open letter, “this action has taken the best models away from [cybersecurity] defenders” who now can’t use the models to find vulnerabilities and make their software and products more secure. “To pull the best capabilities away from defenders without a good reason when our adversaries are rapidly advancing is dangerous,” read the letter. On Friday, the U.S. government ordered Anthropic to limit the export of Fable and Mythos, citing national security concerns, without explaining the specific reasons behind the order, according to Anthropic. In response, the company suspended access to the models to all users worldwide.     https://techcrunch.com/2026/06/15/cybersecurity-vets-protest-dangerous-us-government-ban-on-anthropics-most-powerful-models/
